Christina Aguilera Cancels Her Entire Summer Tour

Citing a busy schedule leading up to the release of her new album and film, Christina Aguilera has canceled her summer tour, telling fans she'll be back on the road in 2011.

"Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, 'Burlesque,' and to the promotion of her new album, 'Bionic,'" Live Nation, the tour's promoter, announced in a statement. "The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible."

The singer's 20-date tour was scheduled to begin in July. Live Nation's website still lists Aguilera as one their "Top 10 Tours" this year, alongside 'American Idol' and Dave Matthews Band.

Aguilera has been working on 'Bionic,' which is only her fourth studio album, since 2008. The first single, 'Not Myself Tonight,' was released last month.

The other project responsible for bumping the tour is 'Burlesque,' which will mark Aguilera's debut on the big screen. She plays a small-town girl that moves to Los Angeles and begins work at a burlesque club ... run by Cher. The musical film will be released in November.

You and a few others. She canceled her tour because of low ticket sales. Don't fault the economy either. Crazy azz Britney Spears didn't have a peoblem selling out concerts.

yup, I think she has overdone it! She has a decent voice but everything she does is over indulgent, I am tired of her and was never really a fan. she is trashy and she doesnt have to be....She would have gone further had she acted more like a lady and less like a freak.

WOW, just looked at the video. I can't believe it's so raunchy. It makes Adam Lambert's performance on tv look tame. She's trying to really push the envelope but I don't think her fans want to see that from her anymore. She's so talented and I think it's a waste of her talent to perform in this way. Maybe the response to her tour was bad and I wouldn't be surprised after viewing the video.

Sandy yes you are right but even now country is getting racy! Look at the video by Underwood and others.
I watched lady gaga on american idol and turned it off till she was over. it is a show that children watch and she was wearing a thong and the whole "outfit" and "dance" was too outlandish. NOT SEXY. it wasn't something i wanted to see. children follow what they see and learn by example and that "show" should have been in a theater not on TV and maybe not even in a theater.
this should not be shown at all ESPECIALLY on the internet where kids can see it and say if it's ok for her why not me? we let people have their way and look what's happened in all walks of life. nike says if it feels good do it, so if someone feels good by killing someone, is that ok? if we say no, we mean no. i know people will not like what i've said but just as you have your opinion so do i. let's get back to basics. we tell children no then show things like this so we are giving a double meaning.

sorry to say, but your children have seen much worse... Also, children just don't blindly follow the actions on tv if you teach them the difference between tv and real life. It's a music video, not real life. You can't shelter children forever - you have to TEACH them the correct way to act.

(Which means get off your duff and exercise...)During my childhood, I grew up with Prince, Madonna, Boy George, "I Want Your Sex," Farrah Fawcett's poster and SURPRISE I am a hard working tax payer with no addictions, no jail time. My PARENTS NOT TV, NOT music steered me in the right direction! Maybe you need to keep a better eye on what YOUR children listen to and watch. I also believe "American Idol" has a PG rating prior to broadcast which means PARENTAL GUIDANCE!

please.. spare me. Its no worse than "Dirty" w/ a whole lot of Madonna's Erotica video's thrown in. None of this is new. She did stuff like this 2 albums ago. I love the self righteous hypocrisy.
