Bret Michaels Performs 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' on 'American Idol' Finale

Fresh off his 'Celebrity Apprentice' win, and several struggles with his health, Bret Michaels made a big entrance on the 'American Idol' finale.

The Poison frontman came on stage to sing 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' with third-place finisher Casey James, to much applause.

Michaels was a big secret, according to TMZ. In late April, the singer suffered a brain hemorrhage, but had a miraculous recovery. After being released from the hospital, however, he suffered a "warning stroke" that sent him back. However, he was able to appear on the live finale of Trump's 'Apprentice' and now 'Idol.' On Monday he was talking about how being on Apprentice was risking his life just being there and tonight he make a "surprise" appearance on Idol.... Wow just another publicity lie just like Rock of Love.... but he trys and obviously succeeds in getting over on the public.... Sad!!!

His doctors advised him not to go to Apprentice, but I'm wondering if it were more about air travel than anything. When Trump asked him if it was truly risking his life, he said something to the effect that apparently these days just standing up risked his life. He's got a remarkable upbeat attitude and a great sense of humor. Godspeed, Bret!

Oh Brett,singing the same old song. He cant sing,and that damn rag around his head....YAWN!!!! What a washed up loser, never liked him. I thought he was so bad off he couldnt do anything. he sure seemed fine tonight.

OMG! Get over it. Don't let someone who doesn't sing a song to your liking ruin it for you, songs are sung by different Artist's all the time and many people prefer one Artist over another but I've never heard of anyone declaring they will forever after hate that song again. CHEER UP! LOL!!! {;-P

Umm, how could Bret Michaels ruin this song for you? This is HIS song? As lead singer for Poison he wrote and sang Every Rose Has It's Thorn himself. Get over yourself.

I agree with Juanita, Diane, & K... it had nothing to do with air travel, he has to travel somehow to get where he is going, either by plane, train, automobile, they surely didn't film Idol in his home. Give me a break. Stop defending him people, he is a liar who is looking for the sympathy play to pay off for him in his career by keeping him in the limelight.... Enough of him...

FIRST; CONGRATULATIONS TO LEE DEWYZE and second, Brett Michaels Doctor on was on t.v. talking about Brett discussing with him the desire to return to The Apprentice to finish the end of the show and wanting to go on tour with his band as previously planned. His Doctor told Brett that he thought it was a bad idea but if he insisted on doing it to not over do it. He told the News interviewer that he hoped Brett didn't do it that he strongly advised against it. So unless you're all going to accuse his Doctor of lying as a Publicity stunt to further Brett's career or for sympathy I think you are, unfortunately a growing amount of people who are filled with SO MUCH NEGATIVITY, anger, jealousy (in some people) and just plain mean inside of you that you lash out, and accuse people whom you don't even know of doing things for their own benefit or some other ulterior motives. It's too bad you can't just be happy for him that he recovered from such a serious, usually deadly health problem, being a Nurse I can tell you a Doctor WON'T LIE OR EXAGGERATE THIS. God Bless Michael and to you non-judgmental people out there who just care about people's well being.

I agree. I didn't know what a nice guy he was until I saw Celeb Apprentice. He never threw anyone under the bus and spoke well of people. Hearing about his brain hemorrhage and living with diabetes since he was little and the risk of his daughter now having it, I feel his win was well deserved for him and his charity! Are people saying that's all a lie? Stupid

Bret is not faking, and all you being negative, why don't you all,learn to say some positive about other people, and Bret included, Do you all know how to be Positive or is that TOO DIFFICULT for any of you NEGATIVE PEOPLE?
