Exclusive: When Colbie Caillat stripped down for Allure's May issue, she not only looked flawless but also showed everyone how to be comfortable in their own skin. Little did anyone know, the photo shoot was pretty difficult for the singer-songwriter."That was definitely hard for me because being a woman, you know everyone has their own insecurities," Caillat tells PopEater during the VH1 Save the Music Summer Kick-off event at the W Hoboken. "But whatever you are, whatever you have, just own it. It's not that simple for me. Every day I have to still be like, 'OK, just be confident. Don't worry about that issue that's in your head.'"
Caillat also says people should find the beauty in themselves. However, if there's something you'd like to improve, it should be done the right way. "Just try to love who you are," Caillat says. "And if you don't like it, then fix it in a healthy way."
Aside from celebrating her body, Caillat will be ringing in her 25th birthday on May 28. And unlike others who want to throw a wild party, the 'Breakthrough' artist will be taking the low-key route.
"I actually leave [on May 24] for Lake Tahoe for my grandpa's 90th birthday and my 25th," she says. "We joined them because my grandpa has a house on the lake and all my friends and family are going to be up there. We're just going to rent a boat, and if the weather's warm, then we'll go out and swim in the lake and just be with them."

There's nothing wrong with anyone posing nude, but what bothers me are the headlines that reads "Colbie Caillat Fought Insecurities Before Nude Allure Photo Shoot."
So I ask myself if she was so insecure why did she agree to pose nude? The answer is that her manager or publicist said to do it. Now she has publicity and we know who she is so in a roundabout way she will sell more albums or whatever it is that she does.
Actresses are told to do a nude scene, not because it's valuable to a particular movie's script but because the producers want to sell more tickets. Agents who get a percentage of each contract earn more if there's a nude scene so everyone pushes these gals to do it just to pad their pockets. It's just business, nothing more.

and Grammy's are indicative of what? a performers ability to win the hearts of a room full of self-congratulatory Hollywood personalities who gather once a year to award themselves for being celebrities. A Grammy means nothing in the way of true talent, or intelligence, or versatility, or musical aptitude. It just means she was well-liked enough in that room on that night for someone to hand her a little statuette.

oh c'mon. There isn't anything indecent about a human body sans clothing. Now if she was doin' a porno flick you might be able to argue that. now, idk if you're a man or a woman, but I know you've got a naked body under those clothes yer wearin at the moment. The ONLY thing indecent or immoral about a naked human body are the thoughts it can provoke in certain individuals. or the reactions. a body is just that. a body.as long as you have the personal maturity to understand that and not bring your mind to dirty places just cuz you see one, it's just another wonder of nature/artwork from GOD/ or however you choose to view the condition of the human existence.
Auvincereautmori. Allure is not about art, it is about selling magazines with naked women in them, hardly any better than Playboy or any other porn magazine. It is cheap exploitation of a woman's body and beauty that is supposed to be appreciated within the bonds of marriage. Those who buy those magazines are not doing so for "artistic" reasons, it is for cheap thrills, and anyone who thinks otherwise is simply naive.
Now, I personally have not heard much of Allure magazine. Therefore I cannot speak to the nature or intent of it's business enterprises. But whatever the case, it still doesn't change the FACT that there is nothing indecent or immoral about the human body, or it's portrayal. And if the consumers/critics of Allure's portrayal of her body should so choose to see it in a perverse fashion, it is not she that is at fault, nor her morals that are flawed.
