Heather Locklear Cleared in Hit-and-Run Incident

The Ventura district attorney has officially rejected the case against the Heather Locklear in a hit-and-run incident that occurred earlier this year, TMZ reports. Prosecutors revealed there wasn't enough evidence to place her behind the wheel at the time of the crash.

In April, Locklear was arrested--though not taken into custody--for an allegedly hitting a no-parking sign on a public street near her home. Debris found at the scene was traced back to her 2005 black BMW but after several months of investigating, the prosecutors on the case couldn't prove she was behind the wheel.

Ventura District Attorney Gregory D. Totten released this statement Wednesday, "Physical evidence established that the vehicle involved in the collision was ... registered a 2005 black BMW sedan registered to Richard and Heather Sambora of Westlake Village. Insufficient evidence exists to establish who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the collision. As a result, no criminal charges will be filed."

Locklear and her lawyer weren't available for comment.

The actress is currently on probation from a drunken-driving arrest in 2008 in which she pleaded no contest. If she'd been found guilty on the hit-and-run charges, she could have faced up to 90 days in jail for violating her probation.

Yeah, she got cleared, and she just "cleared" the house she would''ve drove into if that pole wasn't there!! Learn how to drive Heather, and stop drugging up, texting, drinking or whatever you do before you get behind the wheel. Next it won't be a pole, it'll be an innocent PERSON or animal!

If not heather driving it, then why did the police not ask her whom was driving the car, because she had not reported it stolen right? She was in her house when they knocked on the door and found the car damaged in her garage,so who dropped it off? Celebrity Justice again?!
