Paula Abdul Appears on 'American Idol' to Say Goodbye to Simon Cowell

Although she's left the show after last season, Paula Abdul came back to 'American Idol' to say farewell to Simon Cowell.

She joked a bit at the beginning, claiming the real reason she didn't return as judge was a surprised pregnancy. "There's a baby backstage with Simon's haircut, and baby, it's your turn to feed him," she quipped to Cowell.

But, she did have a few affectionate words for the surly British judge. "Look Simon, my darling Simon, I've worked with a lot of people over the years ... but, if I'm being truly honest, none of them holds a candle to you, my friend." Watch Below

I am so surprised that American Idol is still on the air. How many nasally singers and schreekers so we need ? Talent has little to do with the final results. Rather it seems the goofier they dress the more they score.

it was so good to see paula back for simon's last night on idol. he was so glad to see her. i saw the love for her in his eyes. kara could have never had the same chemistry with him.

I think Jesse was sincere but the reason he did it he claims was because his life was great and he thought he didnt deserve it so he derailed it. Thats the dumbest excuse Ive ever heard in my life. As for American Idol I liked the show but dont watch but I think its run its course. For those saying things like" I wish the show would end I hate it". There are alot of people that work on that show and if it ends they loose their jobs. Not everyone is making millions. I know its hard for some of you but try to think of others!

OMG! No more Simon? I heard rumors but, I was hoping they were wrong even though I don't even really watch anymore. I agreed with Simon most of the time actually. I wouldn't have been so hard on folks but, he got it right a lot!
