Gary Coleman Reportedly on Life Support, In Coma
UPDATE: Gary Coleman has died at the age of 42 following a brain hemorrhage. For the full, updated story, click here...
Gary Coleman has been hospitalized in Utah and is in critical condition after injuring his head as the result of a fall.
ABC News is reporting that Coleman "has slipped into a coma" and is currently on life support. Coleman suffered an intracranial hemorrhage according to the ABC report, and remains unconscious from the injury.
On Thursday, an attorney for Coleman said that the family did not want to release any information.
"Anything they could say would be premature because they don't know the full extent of his condition right now," Randy Kester, Coleman's lawyer, told The Associated Press.
Earlier in the day, Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, released a brief statement
to KUTV asking for support, saying: "Gary was taken to the hospital with a serious medical problem yesterday, we are asking for everyone's prayers at this time. We hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon."
Coleman's health has been an issue of late, as the 42-year-old actor has suffered two seizures this year. The first occurred on January 6, while the second
took place in late February while he was on the set of 'The Insider.' During the
911 call from the latter incident, an 'Insider' staffer who called it in told the operator, "We have someone having a seizure right now on our stage ... we just need someone as soon as possible."
The actor has also undergone two kidney transplants -- one in 1973 and one in 1984 --- to help curb the kidney disease nephritis, which he has battled for decades. It's that disease which is responsible for stunting his growth.
Health woes aside, Coleman has also found himself in legal trouble in recent years. In January, Coleman
was arrested at his Utah home after failing to appear in court for a domestic violence warrant. The domestic violence charges were eventually dropped, and he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief charge. He was ordered to take a domestic violence class and pay a $595 fine.

Agreed. Attention at the expense of the celebrity; no such thing as mercy.
A special ring of hell is being dug for media people, even as we speak.
Yeah vobox it is the viscious human condition, the most dangerous thing on the planet. Just scan these boards and you can see the rancor when there just doesn't need to be any, people in general are cruel just to be cruel, it is sad. To think, I am the same species as these people.....
Sounds like you've got a little rancor in there yourself. Maybe you're not the same species as they are...maybe you're lower.
He has had so many problems over the years. Hopefully he can recover and have some good things happen and a calmer way of life.

I met him in Vegas a few years back. He was sitting at a table in the steakhouse at the Hard Rock by himself. A family sitting next to him felt bad I guess and invited to sit with them. The family had children under 10 and he fit right in.

i feel that this unique guy can make it out fully
I like to eat alone in restaurants... please don't disturb my peace with a request to sit with a herd and watch others chew. I wish Coleman the best, I was a kid when he was on Different Strokes and he made me laugh. I know he hasn't had a smooth life, but very few do.
How could he hurt his head falling. He can only fall about a foot and a half.

Boy, David, You are a real A**.
Funny as s**t but cold!!!
Exactly my thought's!!!!
DAvid, you must be very happy as you are certainly ignorant and without any empathy for a fellow human being. Your mom must be so proud of you.
OMG...that is too freaking TERRIBLE TO SAY!!!
