i really hate that garys life had so much turmoil in it cos he was so funny in the roles he had growing up. i feel like he helped me thru my childhood watching his role on different strokes and taking heed from the lessons he learned. may he rest in peace and hopefully this funny yet troubled soul is finally at peace!

It was sad news to hear about the loss of Gary Coleman at such a young age. I used to watch "Different Strokes" and really liked the show. I am praying for Gary's family.
I have no idea of Gary's religious background or beliefs but I pray he is in the better place. I am also praying for his family.

Being 44 years old I remember seeing Different Strokes every Saturday night on NBC. Gary Coleman was great. He was more than just a pop-icon. He had talent and poise at such a young age.It is a shame he had such a tough life and he never realized his full potential.Rest at peace Gary Coleman. You had a lot of guts and even with all of your troubles I admired and respected you.My heart and prayers go out to your family and friends.

He should've gotten more in his life IMO he deserved better of all the crap that he went though in his short life(no pun intended...seriously)even though he tecnically wasn't a little person...he proved that you did have to be 6' ft to have a career
i just wish he had another run at showbiz success before he left us too soon.
