'Shaved Bieber' Creator Gets Death Threats From Justin Bieber Fans

Those Bieberettes or Beliebers, as
Justin Bieber's fans apparently like to be called, are a tough bunch. While they might melt into sobbing, screaming mush at the sight and sound of the beloved hair-swished teen heartthrob, a Toronto man who developed a piece of software called 'Shaved Bieber' to censor the Canadian singer from your Internet is receiving death threats and other extreme backlash.
On one
website, an irate 15-year-old girl from Switzerland named Alex even went so far as to compare him to Hitler. "I just wanted to give you the heads up that you will have MANY people that are enraged with you. I'm talking 5,000,000. Me included," Alex wrote. "I realize that you're just stating an opinion, but what you're doing is going back to World War II all over again. Hitler wanting to erase Jews from society -- you want to erase Justin Bieber..."
In an interview with
Canada's QMI Agency, Greg Leuch said he invented 'Shaved Bieber,' an add-on to the Firefox browser, with the help of Free Art and Technology Lab after he read complaints of so-called "Bieber fever" online and received pleas from his buddies.
"One said, 'Dude, you have to do something so I can quit seeing Justin Bieber online,'" Leuch told the Sun, a division of QMI. "I was like, 'Damn, I can do this.'" He finished the task six hours later, according to the report.
QMI's Don Peat writes: "He's taking the threats in stride and has posted them online as they appear. Other fans have been reduced to tears by the new application. One Belieber used her Twitter account to tweet the horror of having the Internet without Justin Bieber after her parents downloaded the program."
"Mum put that shaved bieber thing on all our computers!" she tweeted. "I'm like crying, I hate u sooo much mum."
Leuch told QMI that he is working on other 'Shaved' software after receiving requests to block
Lady Gaga,
Paris Hilton and
Britney Spears.

Why do you need to block Beiber? Just dont look or read an article?
While I have no young children going nuts over him, I do think he is adorable and i enjoy his apperances and songs. and I am 45 years old. (I do have a life, so dont go there). but, I think he is a well grounded young man and think he is a good role model.
Dont be a hater!

HE GOT A TATOO SO HOW MUCH OF A ROLL MODEL CAN THAT MAN SLOOT B!!!!!!
I agree, K. Just don't look, read, or watch. An example, of Madonna, when she performed last year on TV the Catholic's had such a rage over her first performance of her hanging off of the cross, so the TV executives decided not to air that performance. JUST DON'T WATCH. This is America, we have choices....change the channel.
HAHAHAH HE's a Product, Sure his mother is proud on the millions he's making. but this for sure is anticipated ending When: 1 .- He get into Drugs 2.- or and/ his parents divorce for the money 3.- When his fame begins to fade, suicide attemps 4.- and / or like ricky martin he goes out closet (The last option will end with many crazy idiot fans suicided).
Because it's funny.
Is there any way this guy can be nominated for a Nobel Prize? Not only is he a genius but also a liberator from unwanted info about a less than average talent with a rehashed Beatle hairdo.

I agree and after re-reading the article I have but one question. Did one of those girls really equate banning bieber from the internet to the murder and torture of millions of people? These children really are delusional.
Granted, this shouldn't be something that is used for a sensible Beiber fan, but for a fan that is on 24/7, refuses to do chores, or anything else, this is a good program. Beiber is a good guy, certainly, but if teens are to the idol worship point, a program like this is a good idea. Maybe it should allow an hour or two of Beiber time though, instead of no access. I'm a teen, I'm a Beiber fan, but the worship is starting to scare me. That's why I'm not on the forums.

The kid is doing no harm.
It's the 'super fan girls' people should dislike, not him..
They ruin everything.
Twilight I thought was lame cause of all the girls wearing the Cullen shirts and not shutting up about it but I saw it and got into the series.. of course avoiding the fans. =p

It's like that for a lot of stars, unfortunately.
I know a lot of celebrities who are really sweet and harmless people who are hated on because their fans are nuts.
I think Biebers a good kid, too...but his fans are the worst. Well, some of them are.
..................................... HAHA! Owned. That is just pure ownage.

I've never heard of Bieber and by looking at the picture I thought he was a girl. After reading the article I realized I had the wrong gender. :O) At this point I'm neutral about having him censored on the internet. But whoever is his make up stylist, they need to be coached a little more towards the masculine side...unless the intent was to be feminine.

He is a young teenage boy, That is what young teenage boys are to look like. Just because he does NOT have all sorts of jewelery hanging from his face and wierd hair colours you don't regognize him as a boy. lol. I think he is a well rounded stable young man. I hope he stays on the same path.
Now if there's a version for Lindsay Lohan and Kate Gosselin, I'm there!!!

What the...?? Let me see if I have this straight: Some techno-nut who's tired of seeing Justin Bieber all over the Internet has invented a program that wipes him off?? I couldn't care less about that Bieber kid, but geez dude, get yourself a life. Bieber isn't worth it.

seriously I'm overwhelmingly happy and shocked at the same time. Happy that this application exists, shocked that I'm just learning about it now. Justin Bieber is a worthless talentless little crooner who doesn't write his own songs. The only reason he even sounds remotely okay as a singer (and that's a stretch) is because of the obvious production involved. They use pitch correction on the border of t-pain to keep him in tune. Ever listen to him live? Apparently he's too dumb to fake it live and just have the cd playing because he sounds terrible from the one unfortunate time I was forced to watch five minutes of it

*add: people who are all into censoring pop culture, art and music for "obscenity" reasons are stupid. It's not up to the artists to be good role models. It's the parents' responsibility to explain what is good and bad behavior. The idea of a role model is stupid. And reading into the music and finding things that are "inappropriate" is also a waste of time. If one person would read liner notes, the pmrc wouldn't have existed and the world would be a much better place.
