Heidi Montag's 'Hills' Gal Pal Talks Split from Spencer

Just one day after TMZ announced Heidi Montag's split from husband Spencer Pratt, Jennifer Bunney of 'The Hills' is talking about Heidi's plans to move out.

"Heidi and I are moving into a Malibu beach house this summer," Bunney told RadarOnline.com. "It's just her being able to have some freedom from marriage and for us to work on our friendship and focus on things we want to focus on." Bunney revealed Spencer and Heidi are "not legally" separated.

"Heidi is looking to move out due to all the fake bad press that Spencer controls. She's tired of it and is looking for a place and wants to focus on her acting career," her rep told TMZ yesterday.

Bunney said doing "girly things" is high on the agenda. "We're really excited to ... show people who we really are and that we're really fun, sweet and loyal girls."

Apparently the Bunney/Montag living situation is set to become a series of its own. Radar reports the currently untitled show will start production in July. "I was portrayed in a really bad light when I was on 'The Hills' and so was Heidi," Bunney said. "So we've bonded over that. I knew her before the show and our friendship is real and we're so excited about what is next. The show is going to focus on our friendship, getting through things with each other like marriage stuff and boyfriend stuff."

A source close to Montag and Pratt told TMZ the breakup was a long time coming. "It wasn't just a sudden thing."

The pair made a name for themselves as the frenemies of 'Hills' star Lauren Conrad. Their relationship and eventual marriage was chronicled on the hit MTV series.

Montag and Pratt exchanged vows in April of 2009, in front of 200 guests and an MTV camera crew.

I don`t think its going to be that easy to leave Spencer.If we hear that Heidi is found dead we know who did it. The guy is a powder keg ready to explode.Some like him is`nt going to just let her leave.But then again it may just be a publicity stunt to get more press..

I totally agree with you...and after reading this, I do think it's a publicity stunt. She was probably told she would get better ratings if she wasn't with that a-hole, so they made up this story. I truly feel sorry for her. She makes really bad decisions and I feel he is dangerous. I hope it's true she left him, but it sounds like she just wants a good start to her new scripted reality show.

The smartest thing she could have done, but if I was her I would watch my back. Divorcing him won't be easy, maybe it's just for show. Both are such losers, he probably already banged someone else since the split. She thinks she is an actress, guess again.

Please this is so ridiculous!! Do we really think Spencer does not have some hand in all of this?? EVERYTHING they do is for publicity!! MTV does not just put a show on-- there was probably months and months of negotiations... Please why do we keep watching this Bimbo? What is wrong with out society that we are so into watching this train-wreck???

My question isn't why do people keep watching this bimbo, it's why did you ever start in the first place. Seriously, get a life. Try to develop new interests like say...reading. And no, the National Enquirer, Star, and Soap Opera Weekly do not count. Start slow if you want, maybe a graphic novel with big print and small words. Once you get a few of those under your belt try going into the grown-ups area of the book store.
If novels are to mentally taxing put on PBS. If you can't bring yourself to watch PBS do society a favor. The next time you're tempted to watch one of these shows grab a Hefty trash bag go outside and pick up some of the trash along the side of the road. Your town will be cleaner, you'll get exercise, and, if you live in L.A. you may get to be the first person to see all these reality stars on the street turning tricks when their 15 minutes are up.
