Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen will plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense and serve 30 days in jail for allegedly assaulting wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas Day, PEOPLE reports.

Sheen has been charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault, but is hoping to cop to only a misdemeanor for the incident, which occurred while the couple were vacationing in Aspen, Colorado.

"Charlie intends to go to court on June 7 [to] plead to a misdemeanor and immediately begin serving his 30 days in jail," says the source. "With good behavior, he could end up doing 15 or so days."
