'Lost' Star Jorge Garcia's Dog Hit and Killed by a Car

Tragedy struck Jorge Garcia as he prepared to leave the island of Oahu, Hawaii, his home for the past six years. His beloved Chihuahua Nunu was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street.
Garcia, who played Hurley on the hit show 'Lost,' updated his blog, '
Dispatches From the Island,' yesterday with the news. "It breaks my heart to tell you that yesterday as we were preparing to all go to the airport Nunu was struck by a car as she crossed the street," Garcia wrote. "She died in my arms."
The actor wrote frequently about his dog on his blog and would post photos of Nunu playing and chewing on toys regularly.
In his blog post about his dog's death, Garcia revealed where they'll bury Nunu, "We are burying her in the Pet Garden at Valley of the Temple in Kaneohe. Nunu hated the water so we couldn't bring ourselves to having her ashes scattered in the ocean. Three months from now you'll be able to find a bronze plaque inscribed with just her name there. If you'd like to leave a flower or a toy, I'm sure she'd love it."
Garcia is leaving Hawaii and returning to Los Angeles, his home before he landed the role of a lifetime on 'Lost.'

I am sorry for his loss.
Never watched Lost, but heard about the finale. I always wondered why this young man never lost weight (not even a little bit) while being on a deserted island all that time. Seemed weird. Was he eating at a secret McDonald's? Anyway, per the finale, if they were all really dead, he probably wouldn't have lost any weight. Guess it makes sense.

@JP, he never lost weight on the show because they found a stash of food including chocolate bars and chips, that was left by a group that was there before them. They also jumped around space and time a lot, so he wasn't continuously stranded with no food, in fact at one point he was a cook. Anyway that's so sad about the dog. :(
He was eating Apollo Bars and ranch dressing.
how is this news? Seriously

Exactly. This is news because...... huh?
This is "celebrity news," ap. Seriously. How are you so stupid that you don't know that, even though it is labeled as such at the top of the page? You are truly stupid. Seriously. And now that you know the kinds of things that appear here, don't read it anymore. Seriously.
You knew what this was about, so why did you read it? Seriously

So sorry to hear this. To some of us, our pets are as important as some of the people in our lives. I'm sure his Nunu was as important to him as my dogs are to me. I do feel strongly about leashing, though, no matter how well-trained. RIP Nunu!

Very sad, but why was such a small dog crossing the street by herself? I had my little shih-tzu Peeps for 17 yrs, in a traffic situation I would carry her, as little dogs are not seen very well.

I feel very sorry for your little dog and that its life had to end in such an abrupt and terrible manner. Too bad your beloved pet did not have a responsible and loving owner who should have had the little dog on a leash to protect it from such an accident. You deserve to suffer for this avoidable loss.
Shame on you!

Susan,
Too bad YOUR dog has such a reprehensible human being with no sense of decency as its owner.
Thanks for sharing your unbelievable lack of grace and sensitivity.
Hey Susan... why don't you go play in the highway.
