Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Buy New Digs

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds -- one of Hollywood's hottest couples, bar none -- have snapped up a decidedly unremarkable farmhouse in rural Louisana, complete with a rusty barn (above).

Johansson's InStyle interview in May hinted at a penchant for simple domesticity -- "I love to cook and bake," she told the mag.

"I like cooking alone -- I find it very therapeutic," Scarlett said. "I put on some music, maybe have a glass of wine, and make something like a turkey Bolognese or a nice frittata."

Scarlett Johansson's New Louisiana Home

Johansson and Reynolds, who wed in 2008, have an LA home with four bedrooms and five bathrooms -- "considered to be conservative for the Hollywood scene," London's Daily Mail writes. In California, the couple "restored the colonial-style building to its former glory as well as updating it with a variety of eco-friendly touches such as solar heating."

Their new Louisiana home is a modest two-story affair with a green and tan theme and a separate garage.

Of married life, Johansson told InStyle: "You're married and suddenly you have your own family. There's a nice comfort in that. That part of your life is certain, in a way. You've got your home in that other person."

Congrats to the couple!! These two are trying as hard as they can to live a simple life. They are RICH! GORGEOUS! AND FAMOUS!! She is a Tony, and Golden Globe nominated actress I don't think this happens if you cannot act. Both are consistently on the World charts as being the 2 of the sexist people alive. DON'T BE A HATER, IT’S NOT THEIR FAULT. THIS IS HAND THEY HAVE BEEN DEALT!! It is the news media and adoring/critical fans that are not allowing them to do this. As if you can decide who is deserving of this privilege. I can bet they did not call the news station and tell them where and what they planned on buying.

Good God! MY EYES! MY EYES! That's the most unnatural and hiddeous color green trim that I have ever seen. Who in the world talked them into that color? Eww. Pukey. Here are too gorgeous Hollywood Stars and they choose that color? I'm appalled and yet I can't stop laughing. Maybe it's a security feature. No one can get up the driveway without being instantly blinded and neutralized by extreme nausea. Only approved guests are warned and issued blinders upon approach.
