Gary Coleman 911 Call Details Released, Wife Afraid to Help

After Gary Coleman suffered a fall on May 26, that led to his death on the 28th, his wife, Shannon Price, called 911, and was reluctant to come to the aid of her husband,
TMZ reports.
"He just got home, I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere. I don't know if he's okay. I'm not down there right now because I have a fever, if I get stressed out I'm going to faint," she told the operator.
"He fell. His head is bloody. There's blood all over the floor. I don't know what happened," Price continued.
"Is there any way you can go down there at all?" the operator asked. "I'll try, I don't know, I mean..." she said.
"I've just been kind of sick. I don't want to be traumatized right now," the 24-year-old added.
She then called out to Coleman. "Gary, are you okay? ... Stay where you are."
With instructions from the 911 operator, Price told Gary to apply pressure. "Gary, you have to put pressure on your wound."
"He's lethargic, I can't really help him. I just need help quick," she went on. "I just can't be here with the blood. I'm sorry, I can't do it. I can't. ... There's blood all over and I can't do anything."
"Yeah, I'm just panicked. I don't know what to do ... I just don't want him to die. I'm freaking out," Shannon cried on the phone when told to give the 'Diff'rent Strokes' star a towel.
She finally acquiesces. "You have to put this on your head ... Keep pressure on this, okay, hold this. You need to sit down. Sit down! Gary, sit down!"
Right before the ambulance arrived, Price said, "I'm gagging, I got blood on myself, I can't deal."
Coleman was taken off life support two days later. Doctors determined he suffered from a brain hemorrhage.

Now they are saying that they weren't even married. So why was she the one that pulled the plug? Sounds really fishy to me.

Poor Gary Coleman. He sure picked the wrong woman to be his wife, she's very immature and very self-promoting.
She will have to live with this information about her failings as a human being for the rest of her sad and unexciting life.
She is a poor excuse for a human being - perhaps she is somewhat mentally challlenged. Her actions require more explanation that what she is capable of giving.
There is no love lost between Gary and his ex-wife.
Legally - she is nobody in his will.
She left him, divorced him and wouldn't raise a finger to help save his life. It's a wonder she knew how to pick up a phone and dial 911. That must have just mentally exhausted the poor darling. She should be ashamed but then again, it would require more than two gray cells and her brain may not have even half a brain cell!!!

Out of YOUR choices I'd go with Bret BUT, I dont think he or the others you mentioned can bring the harsh OH NO moments of truth that Simon brought. Dig deeper!

she was a tremendous help............what a loser!!

The dumb broad sounds even goofier than she looks...Almost feel sorry for Coleman that he got strapped with one of our more mentally challenged white gals.

She was not married to him at the time of death. So why did they let her pull the plug?

I hope they do some deep investigating. I'm sorry but no matter what if something like that happens you run and see before you call 911.. how weird is this? something smells fishy Willis!

That girl is an idiot! She sounds like some 12-yr old! I hope she doesn't get anything in his will.......if he has one. Poor guy. RIP, Gary. Of course, if you don't have to deal with that dingbat anymore you should rest just fine!

Some people just get physically sick at the sight of blood. Being a ninny or whatever. same with people who can't stand vomit. Our bodies reject other people's reaction. I have helped at traffic accidents. I guess I am different. The Person in need to me..it more important than my physical reaction.

As for the question on the American Idol replacements I think they should get red of Ellen and Put on Bret Michaels and Alice Cooper. That would be a kick-azz show.

Okay I'm having major issues with the reporting on this. From the article on here she was afraid of the blood and stressed. From the tv report on inside edition she was saying she has seizures and if she gets stressed she'd seize. Her stories don't add up. I think she has a major part in what happened to him and like other posts I've read, I also think the life support was pulled too quickly. And unless she was Power of Attorney, she shouldn't have had the right to make that decision in the first place. I feel bad for his family, and I hope they find justice and she is sentenced to life. It's tragic that she wouldn't help him. I'm sure he would have helped her even through all the stuff they've been through. It makes you think about things in a different perspective. He'll be truly missed.

She sounds like a real caring soul. The kind that could sit on one of Palin's "death panels."

Although I find her actions odd at best, and selfish
at worst, it is unfair to blame her for Coleman's death.
He didn't die of external bleeding, he died of brain
(internal) hemmorhage. Stopping the external bleeding
was not going to save him.
As far as pulling the plug, that is a decision made
in consultation with the medical people, it's never going
to be "totally" the family's call.

What was she hoping for a large life insurance payout? Daddy's dying whose got the will !

Look, shes young and obviously inexperienced in any emergency situations...she seemed like blood really freaked her out...there are people that react like that. Not everyone can be a "take charge" kind of person and he died from a bleed in his head...not from bleeding from his scalp...he did not die cause she didn't hold pressure.

Although the whole relationship seemed twisted, there are people who just cannot take the site of blood and get so afraid they run away even from people they love and care for . They get paralyzed .

God forbid his ex. wife should extend herself for another human being. I am sure she will be the first one around if there is any money from his estate. One bit of advice sister, if you live long enough everything you do waits up the road. And there is always up the road.
