'Housewives' Star Sonja Morgan Busted for DWI

'Real Housewives of New York City' star Sonja Morgan was busted for driving while intoxicated Monday morning in Southampton Village when she failed to halt at a stop sign. Police pulled her over at 2:16 AM, and after she failed a series of field sobriety tests and refused a Breathalyzer, they took her to the local police headquarters and charged her with DWI, NY Post reports.

According to a Southampton Village officer, Morgan had been partying on the East End over the course of the Memorial Day weekend.

Morgan, the ex-wife of John Adams Morgan, great-grandson of famed financier J.P. Morgan, will appear in court to face the charge at a later date.

She told PEOPLE magazine in April that her divorce was part of the reason she turned down Bravo TV's 'Housewives' the first time around.

"The show had reached out to me, but I was too chicken. I was freshly divorced," she said.

She joined the New York 'Housewives' this season and has been causing quite a stir -- dating younger men and living an extravagant lifestyle.

Drugs or Drinking or both should not be taken before you drive. Your life is yours but do not bring other people into your life by driving.
They do not deserve to die. Call me what ever you want but unless you have been involved with someone you love who has died becuase of a person on drugs and alcohol just stop the name calling and understand if you can the pain one goes thru.
A useless death because of someone driving drunk and smoking pot is something one lives with the rest of their lives when its someone they love that is killed. That is what it is murder and they should be charged with murder and sentenced as anyone else would be.
There is no excuse for it.

Now call me all the names you want and all I can say is God bless you and I pray you are never involved with a dui. either drugs, alcohol or both. The pain never ever goes away.
