Val Kilmer wants to rent out three guest houses on his property in New Mexico, but first he's got some explaining to do. The 'MacGruber' actor has agreed to appear at a county commissioners meeting later this month to refute incendiary comments he allegedly made about fellow New Mexicans in a 2003 Rolling Stone interview. The former Hollywood bad boy will appear because the commission has until now refused to grant him permission for the rentals, citing the old interview, the Las Vegas Optic is reporting.
The article, headlined 'Mr. Difficult,' quoted the actor as saying he lived in the "homicide capital of the southwest," where 80 percent "of the people in my county are drunk."

Val, sue the chit out of that county and take their money and also get the license or whatever you need to do what you want to with your property. This BS is what happens when we let hispanics into this country and allow them to get jobs with the government and in politics. This is white man's country and without us white people you worthless welfare sucking minorities wouldn't receive a damn thing!

As a life-long New Mexican I can only say Val Kilmer is being punished for speaking the truth. And he was not criticizing New Mexico, just one of its 32 counties.

Sad to say, but having lived in New Mexico, Val is telling the truth! You can pick up the newspaper and see that Joe Blow was arrested on his 14th DUI today....I work in a hospital, and on any weekend night, every person is drunk, or a victim of domestic violence. Had to get out of that state....I just don't understand why he stayed!

I can say with certainty that on the highways there are signs to drive with the head beam on at all times. In addition, I worked in Grants at the prison and I can attest to drunk drivers on the same road or driving against traffic. ETOH is an issues in NM. The state officials, judges, troopers, and the public are fully aware of the delema. Even my experience in White River AZ, the many hitch hikers with 12 to 24 pack of beer on the shoulder. Why do you think they were hitch hicking. Maybe to protect the ozone?
Are natural born drunks born in New Mexico or does the life style there turn you into one?

OK, so you are sending me an e-mail to verify my e-mail address. When does this happen? Today? Next Week? Next Year? It shouldn't be difficult. I've had the same e-mail address since 1997.

I've wondered for years now why stars don't record their interviews for things exactly such as this.......
