Casey James: Playing With Bret Michaels During 'Idol' Was 'Amazing'

To help launch their 'American Idols Live!' tour and the latest flavor of M&Ms -- Pretzel M&Ms -- the top ten 'Idol' finalists, including winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox, played for a crowd inside of a giant M&M in New York City.

After the show, PopEater caught up with third-place finisher Casey James, who told us how great it was to duet with Bret Michael's on the 'Idol' finale, where the two heartthrobs played 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn.'

"It was amazing. He was an amazing guy," James said.

Wow I thought Bret M. was good but Casey ooh nooo... i always thought he sounded like a singing lamb

Well, I am not a fan of Brett at all. He cant sing, but in rock bands it doesnt really matter, if they are the best singer. Its about looks, and getting the crowd pumped up. Brett always sings the same old boring song. I think this years idol was the worst ever. I wont be watching any more. I dont think Lee should of won. She was the best singer and will be better off, because she wont have to pay 80% of her profits to Idol. I do think perhaps Brett would make a good judge, Ellen doesnt know anything about music, why is she there? How can someone judge if they are not a performer? I think Brett would pull in the ratings, if only we could get him to take off that rag...

Casey James is the ALL AMERICAN IDOL! Great voice, fab guitar, looks...he's got it ALL. I can't wait to see what he does in the future. Rumors are FLYING that a label not affiliated with Idol is trying to buy out his contract! THEY WANT HIM BADLY! That's never happened before in Idol history...there are still some labels out there who recognize REAL TALENT. I look forward to seeing you on tour Casey...not the Idol tour...I don't want to listen to 9 wannabe/sounds like somebody else singers...just YOU!!

Hey Bonnie..just how OLD are ya? Are you one of the little girlies that voted this fool in as being the best of all that were on American Idol? That is the problem it seems...little young girls who go ga ga over the guys who are CUTE but CANNOT SING worth a crap....and Casey is another one. Oh and let me ask you since you seem to have so much info on Casey...you stalking him or something? How do YOU know so MUCH about Casey eh? I am sure you do not know jack. DO NOT try to tell us...those who KNOW A GOOD SINGER...that Casey is so damn good coz he is NOT! There are plenty out there that can and do sing better than he does and American Idol is a fixed show, is a scam, and a joke so really if you are one of Caseys little girl followers who is ga ga over him then that explains it all. If not, then you have a deaf ear and do not know what GOOD really is.

Great? NOT!! Average at best. Michaels has always been average. Just because he's had recent health problems all of a sudden he's worthy of iconic status? Hardly.

No, a sunset is amazing. What's left of the ocean after BP destroys it is amazing. Hawaii is amazing. Bret Michaels is a 2 or 3 hit wonder from the 80's who won't go away. If he is this guy's "idol" that's just sad.

Casey and Bret had the highlight of the show. I hope they record that duet and release it, they sound great together. Bret is so generous -- not a primadonna at all. How he shared his moment with Casey was awesome. And Casey sounded so good and it was great hearing him get to play both guitars! I love his voice!

Linda, what on earth is your PROBLEM? Just because I like Casey James you need to go on a TIRADE? Let me guess, you voted for the UnWyze one? LMAO! I am neither a child or a teen, I am a grown woman who is also a singer and musician. Do you sing? Can you hear? Casey James is a great singer and song writer, and yes, I WILL be keeping up with his career. And I think he is going to have a GREAT career...and many people agree with me and are excited about his future. At least Casey can sing on key, he graduated from high school, and he didn't end up in a dead end job because of his bad behavior. Mr. UnWyze did all of the above. Yes, I know a lot about all of the contestants, because I like the show. So bite me.

Love Casey James and Lee Dewyze! Voted for them, too, and I'm no young teeny bopper, but rather a 58yo grandmother who believes in putting in your votes--not just crying about who lost! Why bother to tell people you're not going to watch Idol anymore? Just shut your face and don't watch--who cares about you! You think you're so smart and know more than all the "real" judges. Just goes to show that getting people to vote for you is the real issue here--and that means singing talent, looks and personality all factor in there. Go Casey! Go Lee!
