David Carradine's Widow Suing Film Company for Husband's Death

'Kill Bill' star David Carradine died exactly one year ago today -- and his wife Anne Carradine thinks the production company of the movie he was filming at the time is to blame, according to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the lawsuit. Carradine was in Bangkok filming 'Stretch' when he was found dead in a closet in his hotel room.

According to the documents, Carradine, 72, was supposed to meet the director of the movie for dinner. The actor was assigned an assistant, who was responsible for his schedule and transportation.

When the assistant called Carradine to pick him up for dinner, the actor didn't answer and the assistant left for dinner without him. When Carradine finally reached the assistant an hour later, he was told, "They were already across town and ... [he] would have to make his own arrangements that evening."

In the wrongful-death lawsuit filed against French production company MS2 S.A., Anne Carradine states that her husband would not have died if the company had provided him with "all the best amenities" and "sufficient assistance" while in Bangkok.

A medical examiner hired by the family performed a private autopsy last year and ruled Carradine's official cause of death was accidental asphyxiation.

The entire "mystery" concerning David Carradine's demise will continue on, with NO real conclusion in sight. The actual cause of his death is, and will be, mysterious like that of the death of actor George Reeves...television's Superman. There are many cloudy details involved in Carradine's death that have been swept under the proverbial rug, so to speak.
R.I.P., if that's possible for you, David Carradine!

I don't think its the film-makers' fault. I believe he was in fact murdered. One of my MOST FAVORITE actors of all time. I believe it had to do with something he was doing, and someone in that country didn't like whatever it was. Some people find it an insult to be in their country. But that's my opinion and it doesn't make it so. I don't even know. But I DO KNOW ITS NOT SUICIDE.

I feel He was killed by a stalker or some sort of robber and it was covered up so not to cause tension between the two countries or damage tourism. When you want to hide something just label the person a kook or perv and it goes away. How is a 75 year old man going to hang himself? Benefit of the doubt...Remember? Something just don't smell right.

What?!? He wasn't a little kid. Poor baby. Couldn't get a ride so decided to take things into his own hands (pun intended) and now the wife is sueing. GIVE ME A BREAK!

David was one of the most interesting people I've ever known, on far more levels than just his acting or the mystery surrounding his death. A lot of people tried to get a piece of him before and after his death, to the point where I'm surprised Annie can trust anyone at this point. His death was a great loss. He was just hitting his stride again as an entertainer and was even starting to tour again with his band. Yes, he had a band - The Cosmic Rescue Team. The gig he never got to (in New York) is a great lost moment.
