David Carradine's Widow Suing Film Company for Husband's Death

'Kill Bill' star David Carradine died exactly one year ago today -- and his wife Anne Carradine thinks the production company of the movie he was filming at the time is to blame, according to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the lawsuit. Carradine was in Bangkok filming 'Stretch' when he was found dead in a closet in his hotel room.

According to the documents, Carradine, 72, was supposed to meet the director of the movie for dinner. The actor was assigned an assistant, who was responsible for his schedule and transportation.

When the assistant called Carradine to pick him up for dinner, the actor didn't answer and the assistant left for dinner without him. When Carradine finally reached the assistant an hour later, he was told, "They were already across town and ... [he] would have to make his own arrangements that evening."

In the wrongful-death lawsuit filed against French production company MS2 S.A., Anne Carradine states that her husband would not have died if the company had provided him with "all the best amenities" and "sufficient assistance" while in Bangkok.

A medical examiner hired by the family performed a private autopsy last year and ruled Carradine's official cause of death was accidental asphyxiation.

No one is responsible for his death, but him self.
Its a sad death, any time anyone dies its sad. But theres no one to blame for this, but him self.

If I were in her shoes I would want to keep the nature of his death as low key as possible. File a lawsuit for what, his accident was not a forseeable accident and hence no grounds for a lawsuit. She is either broke or very greedy!

"STRETCH" was an appropriate name for the moving he was filming, as this lawsuit is a "s-t-r-e-t-c-h"!!!! Years ago I had a calendar that had something similar to Murphy's Law for every day of the year. One of them was the Rockefeller Principle (or something) "Never be caught dead doing something you wouldn't want to be caught dead doing". For the young out there, Vice President Rockefeller died with his mistress. Or at least that was the rumor, hence the principle.

This lawsuit is just sad. We are not talking a service that is suuposed to babaysit a minor, it's just a perk like a hotel concierge that helps you find and arrange ways to have a good time. Were they supposed to beat his door down, wait for him to be there, then demand he get ready? David Carrdine knew there was a dinner party that night and didn't get home/ready in time or may have even been using that as an excuse as a way to "bow out" without appearing to do so (who hasn't used that line. . "oh, I am so sorry, now it looks like I am too late to go- darn"). He was probably in the mood for some private plans with himself (how I believe he accidentally died)and wanted to stay alone.
