David Carradine's Widow Suing Film Company for Husband's Death

'Kill Bill' star David Carradine died exactly one year ago today -- and his wife Anne Carradine thinks the production company of the movie he was filming at the time is to blame, according to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the lawsuit. Carradine was in Bangkok filming 'Stretch' when he was found dead in a closet in his hotel room.

According to the documents, Carradine, 72, was supposed to meet the director of the movie for dinner. The actor was assigned an assistant, who was responsible for his schedule and transportation.

When the assistant called Carradine to pick him up for dinner, the actor didn't answer and the assistant left for dinner without him. When Carradine finally reached the assistant an hour later, he was told, "They were already across town and ... [he] would have to make his own arrangements that evening."

In the wrongful-death lawsuit filed against French production company MS2 S.A., Anne Carradine states that her husband would not have died if the company had provided him with "all the best amenities" and "sufficient assistance" while in Bangkok.

A medical examiner hired by the family performed a private autopsy last year and ruled Carradine's official cause of death was accidental asphyxiation.

What a country! It seems only in America would someone would blame and try to collect on a person's accidental demise.

I guess you can sue over anything, but I would feel really foolish sueing people over his death. He did it to himself, so why would you sue some...unless you need the money and willing to chance you are going to win.

Oh, puhleeze! People die from this type of masturbation all the time. Masturbating while choking yourself or holding your breath enhances the pleasure level of the orgasm. Reports placed a female with Carradine in this sexcapade.Did she have a hand in this,so to speak.

Another possiblity,he was murdered and the scene staged to give an alternate explanation to choking.

Since Carradine played Western lawmen, the moral is never take the law into your own hands.

This is the stupidest crap I ever heard of! I am sorry for this womans loss of her husband.....but he was a grown man and was capable of taking responsibility for himself! Geeze....a judge who would rule in favor of this absurd lawsuit would have to be insane!

Is she kidding??? He was told that he'd have to make his own arrangements for the evening, which to anyone with half a brain would mean 'get a cab, order room service, eat elsewhere, etc'. Nobody made him hang himself, especially when his balls were roped up and "strangled" too.

That is the most stupiest thing I have heard. What is she out of money? I dont think this is the first time he had done this.... it would have killed him sooner or later. She should be ashamed of herself for filing and wasting peoples time on this. She wont get a dime. What a nut case.

And what part of offing himself(in more ways than one) does she think she will get anything. If he was never in the public eye, it would have never make the news at all. She does not deserve anything from the hotel and the hotel is not responsible for what he does to himself. Should there be cameras in the hotel rooms and besides didn't he do this in the closet? Too bsd for he and for him but the hotel is not in any way responsible. I feel sorry for the person that found him in the closet. That must have REALLY BEEN CREEPY....

I am a Private Investigator living in LA and Pattaya Thailand half the time. Some of these statements crack me up.....and most of you don't have a clue what happens here. Katoys (or Lady Boys) are sometimes vicious and the word on the street was what was stated before. Here in Thailand, a man flies out of a 15 story window with his hands tied, 13 bullet holes in him and the cops call it a suicide. Every murder has as a cause of death listed as Heart Failure. This guy was strung up and he didn't take himself out. The wife has two cases,the production co and the hotel. If she needs a reference here, e mail me.
