David Carradine's Widow Suing Film Company for Husband's Death

'Kill Bill' star David Carradine died exactly one year ago today -- and his wife Anne Carradine thinks the production company of the movie he was filming at the time is to blame, according to TMZ, who obtained a copy of the lawsuit. Carradine was in Bangkok filming 'Stretch' when he was found dead in a closet in his hotel room.

According to the documents, Carradine, 72, was supposed to meet the director of the movie for dinner. The actor was assigned an assistant, who was responsible for his schedule and transportation.

When the assistant called Carradine to pick him up for dinner, the actor didn't answer and the assistant left for dinner without him. When Carradine finally reached the assistant an hour later, he was told, "They were already across town and ... [he] would have to make his own arrangements that evening."

In the wrongful-death lawsuit filed against French production company MS2 S.A., Anne Carradine states that her husband would not have died if the company had provided him with "all the best amenities" and "sufficient assistance" while in Bangkok.

A medical examiner hired by the family performed a private autopsy last year and ruled Carradine's official cause of death was accidental asphyxiation.

In his day he was a good actor. I honestly feel the details of his death should not been put out for public consumpsion. We all have a little freak in us and it was always that way for him the whole time hoolywood had no clue and should have stayed that way .. PRIVATE

This lawsuit is symbolic of our current culture and political attitude. It is always someone's fault and we are entitled to remuneration. Victims, victims, victims! Bullcrap! Carradine hung himself. End of story. Lawyers who lose trials like this should have to pay penalties. That would stop the blood suckers from such greedy, smarmy practices.

What's the big deal with Carradine's death? The medical examiner had it right, "death by accidental autoerotic asphyxiation". When I was a kid my doctor told me it wouldn't kill me to jack off, but if I didn't stop it would. Apparently David Carradine never got that doctor's advice. That's life among the rich, famous and incredibly stupid.

It's frivolous lawsuits like this that give lawyers a bad rap. This is so far fetched, you know a lawyer had to present this to the widow, who appears to be trying to keep the gravy train going now that the paychecks have ended.
