Kate Wants Jon to Start Making Some Loot

We already broke the news that Kate Gosselin earned a whopping payday for her stint on 'Dancing With the Stars,' but now the octomom wants some help financially. Apparently, Kate wants her ex, Jon, to kick in some dough for their eight kids -- despite the fact that she has a new reality show and money coming in from it.

Kate Tells Jon to Get a Job

Sources tell me Kate Gosselin doesn't want to be the main source of income for those eight famous children -- and she wants ex-husband Jon to start bringing home the bacon.

"Kate is working her fingers to the bone to support her large family and wishes Jon would do the same," a friend of Kate's tells me. Kate made a fortune on 'Dancing With The Stars' and has a new show coming out on TLC, 'Kate Plus 8,' which premieres this week.

Meanwhile, Jon has had some on-and-off work since he and Kate split a year ago.

"After the split, Jon thought he would become a bigger star without Kate. He hooked up with Michael Lohan to develop a new reality show, 'First Dads Club,' but that didn't work out," an insider told me. "Then Jon thought he would become the next high-end designer when he hooked up with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier, but that fell apart too."

Now, sources tell me Kate has had enough. She doesn't care what Jon does ... she just wants him to get a job. That's a lot of mouths to feed!

Robert Pattinson Scared He Will Always Be Edward Cullen

With the release of the new 'Twilight: Eclipse' only weeks away, it seems everyone can't wait to see handsome Robert Pattinson once again become Edward Cullen. That is, everyone except Robert himself.

"Robert is frightened to death that for the rest of his career he will be known as Edward Cullen. No matter what other roles he plays, he will never be able to shake off Edward's fangs and it terrifies him," a friend of Robert's told me.

"Of course, Rob loves the money that the role has made him, but he is only 24. To think your career has already peaked before you hit 25 is not a good thing."

See the trouble you can get into if you hang out with the wrong crowd! We're sure Rob, Daniel Radcliffe and all of the other 'Twilight' and 'Harry Potter' stars will do just fine. Even if their careers have indeed peaked, at least they can buy an island and enjoy life to the fullest!

Barry Manilow Crowned Vegas' Best Entertainer

Forget Donny and Marie. Tell Cher to hang up her sequins. Inform Elton that he has reached the end of the yellow brick road. Why? Because Barry Manilow has just been voted "Best Strip Headliner" by Las Vegas Weekly. No, he doesn't take off his clothes -- the Vegas Strip, people!

For those who have never seen Manilow live, you are missing one of the greats. Trendy Rolling Stone magazine put it best when they called Barry, "The showman of our generation."

She got a million for the book that bombed, 1/2 mil. for DWTS, and she couldn't dance,and all the money for the shows she is doing, she always cries poor. Yes, Jon has to pay child support, but 21,000 a month is a little much. Some people don't make 21,000 a year, why should she get so much for 8 kids? Her new shows will bomb, then she will have to get a real job like most of America does.

You are a tad naive if you think she will ever have to work a 'real' job. The millions on millions they made off of Jon & Kate, plus her book, DWTS, and this new show - she doesn't have to work if this were invested properly. I don't get the animosity towards her. She didn't hook up with some tart(s) and run around the world acting the fool. She has, as always, cowgirl'd up and taken care of business. As for a 'real' job, most people wouldn't be able to handle the hours, aggravations, etc., that go with show business. I figure this new show will be at least as successful as the last, kind of like 19 and counting. People like to watch the kids and what happens in households with numerous children. Kate is a strong woman who has behaved admirably given an overgrown Baby Huey of a husband like Jon. Plus, he needs to pay child support. He has his portion of the proceeds for Jon & Kate. Federal guidelines determine child support and he wouldn't have 22K a month if he didn't have it.

When you have eight kids, a no-good, philandering, lazy husband like Jon,* and the guts to appear on DWTS, even though you knew you were going to trip all over yourself, but did it anyway because it would put food in your kids' mouths, then you'll have the right to criticize Kate!!! Would someone please give this woman a break!
* I had this guys number from just watching Kate + 8. He's a wuss!

Working her fingers to the bone - give me a break! Tell that to people who actually have real jobs, truly work their fingers to the bone and make minimum wage. She is so money hungry and interested in making a name for herself. Still trying to figure out what her claim to fame is and what makes her think she is so great. Other than her eight children, what else has she produced.

If I had eight precious children I'd be money hungry too. They need a roof over their heads, they need to eat, clothing, sports, dance, cheer leading, and the big one COLLEGE. Who (besides you) wouldn't want to earn enough money to give these children what they deserve. Get over the Jon and Kate battle and think about the children.

Lori, it is unlikely that the six will be college material. They are six and they FAILED PRE-Kindergarten and HAD TO REPEAT IT. All other kids their age will enter first grade in the fall. The G-6 will try for kindergarten. If filming doesn't interfere once again with their educations, perhaps they will make first grade when they are 7 and a half. The kids are developmentally and educationally behind others their age despite Kate's "CULTURIZING" them.

Lets see...she wants him to make money but did every thing she could to keep him from working on TV ever again. She claims her nursing salary "wouldn't cut it" but him going back to his regular line of work would! She is pathetic. I too can't wait for her shows to bomb so that she is forced back into nursing. Her new show twisted Kate (as I call it) is supposed to be helping other women-then I read she'll be riding a garbage truck the first episode? WTF? This woman is a joke and will do ANYTHING to stay on TV including humiliating herself and her kids.

can you just think of her being a nurse to you or anyone,i will not be watching her new show,shes a mom,and not a good one,and thats all she will ever be,she has spoiled kids,boy i cant wait till all of them are teens,omg,jon did wrong,but heck i sure couldnt live with her either,as far as the duggers go,omg,clut time,remember jim jones thinking he was god,jim bob is doing so wrong with his kids,and following him is little michelle,not having a brain of her own,and i feel so bad for those kids,not seeing any news around the world,not reading the news paper,they will stay on there land and just keep having kids,they are all brain washed to the highest level,mom and dad dont raise there kids,the older ones do,there minds are only what jim boob tells them,,i dont watch kate,or the dugger,the little couple is the best,real down to earth,working people,god bless them,and there new child,

Why should she go back to nursing when she can make more money doing something else? Isn't that why people leave that field? Jon owes responsibility and he should pay his share.

I watched Kate & Jon on the show. Kate has a real attitude problem. I enjoyed watching the kids grow up. However, she asked Jon to leave said she was tired of him. Was he suppose to go stick his head under a rock or move on with his life. She treated him like S--t on the TV show. How do you explain the animosity she has against her own family.

I'm with you. If these people think that Kate is some horrible mother that is only trying to support her children however she can then take a look at the mothers of those brats on Toddler's in Tiara's. Now that is child abuse.
