Kate Wants Jon to Start Making Some Loot

We already broke the news that Kate Gosselin earned a whopping payday for her stint on 'Dancing With the Stars,' but now the octomom wants some help financially. Apparently, Kate wants her ex, Jon, to kick in some dough for their eight kids -- despite the fact that she has a new reality show and money coming in from it.

Kate Tells Jon to Get a Job

Sources tell me Kate Gosselin doesn't want to be the main source of income for those eight famous children -- and she wants ex-husband Jon to start bringing home the bacon.

"Kate is working her fingers to the bone to support her large family and wishes Jon would do the same," a friend of Kate's tells me. Kate made a fortune on 'Dancing With The Stars' and has a new show coming out on TLC, 'Kate Plus 8,' which premieres this week.

Meanwhile, Jon has had some on-and-off work since he and Kate split a year ago.

"After the split, Jon thought he would become a bigger star without Kate. He hooked up with Michael Lohan to develop a new reality show, 'First Dads Club,' but that didn't work out," an insider told me. "Then Jon thought he would become the next high-end designer when he hooked up with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier, but that fell apart too."

Now, sources tell me Kate has had enough. She doesn't care what Jon does ... she just wants him to get a job. That's a lot of mouths to feed!

Robert Pattinson Scared He Will Always Be Edward Cullen

With the release of the new 'Twilight: Eclipse' only weeks away, it seems everyone can't wait to see handsome Robert Pattinson once again become Edward Cullen. That is, everyone except Robert himself.

"Robert is frightened to death that for the rest of his career he will be known as Edward Cullen. No matter what other roles he plays, he will never be able to shake off Edward's fangs and it terrifies him," a friend of Robert's told me.

"Of course, Rob loves the money that the role has made him, but he is only 24. To think your career has already peaked before you hit 25 is not a good thing."

See the trouble you can get into if you hang out with the wrong crowd! We're sure Rob, Daniel Radcliffe and all of the other 'Twilight' and 'Harry Potter' stars will do just fine. Even if their careers have indeed peaked, at least they can buy an island and enjoy life to the fullest!

Barry Manilow Crowned Vegas' Best Entertainer

Forget Donny and Marie. Tell Cher to hang up her sequins. Inform Elton that he has reached the end of the yellow brick road. Why? Because Barry Manilow has just been voted "Best Strip Headliner" by Las Vegas Weekly. No, he doesn't take off his clothes -- the Vegas Strip, people!

For those who have never seen Manilow live, you are missing one of the greats. Trendy Rolling Stone magazine put it best when they called Barry, "The showman of our generation."

Give her a break, why does everybody think Kate is the reason for his failure? He could have opened his mouth before they split and tell her what was bothering him. He just wants to do nothing and get paid alot of money to do it Why shold she be the only means of support or her children when he is the father. He needs to step up, get a real job, and help support his children.

Good Grief! enough is enough! Kate is not someone I would choose as a good friend but she is trying to support her children! She and her ex put the children in the show. They made money off the show and the children are reaping the benefits as well. Jon is as responsible for their welfare as she is. Spending money on trips, girlfriends, partying ect is not helping support his children. Even if we do not agree on Kate's keeping the children in the show, at least she is making an effort to support them.

I agree Bob, he was a weenie from the get go. Spin less puke. As I recall he was working when the show first started or at least when they were born. What happened to that job? Taking care of 8 kids/six of them the same age had to be a nightmare. The worry of germs alone would have drove me nuts. Taking care of 1 preemie baby let alone six would be very difficult. I read once where some woman was whining that Kate fired her for going to the bathroom then washing her hands in the kitchen sink...well I would too !! That is cross contamination!! As a nurse she knew that. Just buying shoes for all of them would be a nightmare. The man needs to grow up and be a father, not a sperm donor. I don't watch their show because it drives me nuts not being able to step in and whack their butts to make them behave. That baby pageant show has a lot more child abuse on it than Kate + 8 does. I do think Kate needs to take some lessons from Mrs. Dugger.

I agree bob. I never liked kate to be honest, but this guy does not want to work and have to be responsible for these children. since they split he's been partying, messing around with one girl or another, etc. Im not saying he doesnt feel for his children, but he most certainly does nothing in the way of trying to make a life to provide for them. He has been aimlessly squandering his time...

I saw Barry Manilow perform during Bette Midler's show in 1973 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, PA. He was her pianist at the time and had written a couple of "jingles". She was showcasing him briefly to start his career. how funny. He did "Copacabana" and "Mandy". I remember thinking "bring Bette back on" LOL

Betee got her start singing in gay bathhouses and Barry was her pianist then.

Barry couldn't possibly have performed Mandy or Copacabana while he was Bette's music director as he didn't record and release Mandy until 1974, and Copacabana until 1978.

He did do Mandy because I remember that I didn't care for it. Quite possibly, it just didn't get released until 1974. I did see them in December of 1973. quibble, quibble, quibble. always doubters amongst us.

does not watch her shows,eventually she will go away.

Well at least she is trying to do SOMETHING other than globetrotting and bedding strays to make ends meet! I am not real fond of her attitude but had I had 8 kids before age 35 I would be like a cat in a corner too! Good luck to her, God Bless the kids and John needs to have his salary garnisheed for support-once he gets a real job!

TLC must stand for the litter channel. Isn't that show 19 kids and counting on there too?? I so hope her show tanks-why would ANYONE care about her watching her show with her bodyguard,nannies,cook,housekeeper-she had to be the worse female dancer in the history of dancing with the stars. I bet her dancing partner Tony feels like he's been let out of prison since it ended.I hope he got paid extra for putting up with her highness.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, and mine is this. Do not tell me that Kate isn't a hateful human being. She's admitted that she was mean to Jon. I'm not a fan of Jon either, I think he's worthless. She's rude, she's loud, and YES, she IS using her kids as her money train. You can almost see those kids 10 years down the road in some kind of trouble. And I'm sure they will watch re-runs of the show, and see what a screaming shrew their mom was. Don't tell me, Well, if you had 8 kids, you would scream too. All parents have their moments, but Kate is just obnoxious. And for those who say, if you don't like her, don't read about her.....you really can't help it, she's every freaking where!!

If I were John, I'd go back to work at the most low-paying job I could find - one that would just cover my rent and utilities. That way, there would be nothing left for that stupid, gold-digger of an ex-wife of his. She is the biggest phony of all time. Let her go back to work, nurses make good money. She doesn' have Jon has her whipping boy any more....Kate is a job and get your own life.

There isn't a job where he can pay 21,000 a month.......not in todays world, I am like the rest of you, sick of them both. As for 19 Kids and counting, I hope they do not have anymore kids but they are a sweet family who loves each other alot. I do not mind my grandkids watching the show, they are polite and mind.

Why should Jon get off the hook for child support just because Kate has made some money? He is legally responsible for those kids too. You may not like her, but she has a point, he needs to step up and take some responsibility for the 8 little souls he helped to bring into this world.
