With fans waiting overnight for a glimpse at their favorite pop star, Justin Bieber hit up the 'Today' show to discuss his career and perform for his adoring masses.
The proceedings started off with an in-studio interview with host Matt Lauer. The 16-year-old star admitted that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake and Usher, his mentor, and continue to have his career grow into adulthood. He also discussed how Usher gave him a Range Rover for his birthday and how he "signed up for" such a rabid fan base before concluding the interview with an impression of Lauer.
Once the interview ended, Bieber finally appeared outside the 'Today' studios while the borderline-hysterical crowd cheered loudly. He kicked off his short set with 'Baby' before launching into 'Somebody to Love.' He also performed 'One Time' from 2009's 'My World' and 'Never Say Never,' his current single from 'The Karate Kid Soundtrack.' Watch the video of Bieber performing 'Somebody to Love' below, and check out his new 'Never Say Never' music video (featuring Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith) after that.
