Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise Steal the Movie Awards
The 2010 MTV Movie Awards got off to a filthy, curse-laden and hysterical start thanks to Tom Cruise -- err, Les Grossman a la 'Tropic Thunder' -- and the ridiculousness known to go hand-in-hand with MTV awards shows continued. As Cruise made several cameos -- including an in-person ditty with J-Lo, the night's most poignant moment came courtesy of Sandra Bullock, who made her first public appearance since the Oscars ... and since the cheating scandal that sent her personal life into rubble.

After Cruise's raunchy bit and an opening from host Aziz Ansari, the first award of the night went to Kristen Stewart for Best Female Performance. The night's second prize for Breakthrough Performance went to 'Up In the Air' starlet Anna Kendrick
Cruise's
reincarnation as Les Grossman continued through the night, as he did his signature Ludacris dance and even did an amazing duet with Jennifer Lopez.
The night's most anticipated moment came when Sandra Bullock accepted her Generation Award. Speaking in public for the first time since her personal life imploded thanks to Jesse James' infidelity scandal, the Oscar winner received a standing ovation from the crowd before taking the mic.
Sandra's Brave Speech
Tom 'Les Grossman' Cruise
Wearing a sequined black dress, Bullock addressed the crowd in her speech by saying she just wants to "go back to normal" and that she's "not going anywhere."
Though she never directly mentioned James or the scandal itself, Bullock certainly alluded to it. She made a statement with: "No matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I like what I'm doing and I'm not going anywhere. Speaking of what you might have seen or heard, I wanted to clarify some things: Number one, I'm not dead. Number two, everyone has cellulite, not just me."

She then went on to share a brief kiss with Scarlett Johansson, who said she admired Bullock's kiss with Ryan Reynolds in 'The Proposal.' So, to quell ScarJo's desires, Sandy planted one on her (photo evidence to the right.
In the night's coveted Best Kiss award (hey, it's the MTV awards), Kristen Stewart found herself back onstage with her 'Twilight' co-star Robert Pattinson thanks to their on-screen liplock. "I guess what we're supposed to do is kiss each other ..." and then the rumored-to-be-dating couple came
thisclose to kissing, but left the audience hanging.
Not surprisingly, given the MTV crowd's penchant for all things 'Twilight,' Robert Pattinson scored a trophy for Best Male Performance. Rocking his newly-cropped hair, Pattinson thanked everyone -- including his parents for conceiving him.
As for musical acts, both Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera took the stage, with neither really able to cause a stir or much of a reaction. Perry was '70s retro fabulous during her performance of 'California Gurrls,' coming out onstage with huge glittered sunglasses and high-waisted shorts (sequined as well). As usual with Perry, a whole lot of cleavage accompanied the performance.
Aguilera made her stage return after a big of a musical hiatus following her baby, going goth-rock with leather-clad dancers swarming around her and lights coming out of the palms of her hands. Here and there, a dancer would grope Aguilera, but by all Xtina standards, it was a tame performance.
Bullock made a surprise appearance Saturday night at Spike TV's "Guys Choice" event in Culver City, Calif., but that show won't be broadcast until June 20. She received a standing ovation when she accepted the "Troops Choice" Award for Entertainer of The Year, from presenter Robert Downey, Jr. The award was voted on by members of the military.
The 45-year-old actress has kept a low profile since James' affair became public shortly after she won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in "The Blind Side" on March 7.

I'm sick of hearing about her. She married a known prick then she gets hurt when he acts like a prick?! What a surprise! She should have known better. Now that she's in public again, someone should ask her what the hell she was thinking.

Good point, well made, ZJohns. A prick is a prick...no matter how much fake family man, nicey-nicey you play for the cameras. Not a very good actor either, in my estimation. But apparently good enough for 'ol Sandy.
i thought this link was about tom cruise?

Someone please tell me why the media firestorm about Sandra Bullock's divorce? Hollywood is awash in divorces (many), marriages (either few or serial types), living together, having kids without marriage, palimony, etc. So please explain why its considered "entertainment news"? I mean its not really hard news...nothing to do with entertainment is..but someone try to answer.

The award show sucked! Stopped watching within the first hour, Sandra's "girl on girl action", lame, as most are. That s**t is getting old, and Kristen and Rob's attempted kiss was just as crappy as New Moon. I'm sorry, I love the Twilight series but hated New Moon, was like one of those "B" movies from the 80's. Tom Cruise needs to act his age and award shows don't need to use the "F" word every 5 seconds. If all this means that I'm getting too old...than thank God!

S321Saint, it doesn't really appear to be real entertainment news as you have observed. I think the reason America and perhaps the world, is so upset about the Bullock/James divorce is b/c, Sandra is "America's Sweetheart," and we hate to see when a guy as rough and tough as Jesse James is, hurt someone, as sweet as Sandra is (and that's just one of many reasons on why Americans really find this so entertaining). Sure, I think SB is a great actress, and she seems like a nice person, but to put her on a pedestal as "America's Movie Star Sweetheart," is as if we're all putting her in a different category, than other women, and that is disheartening, if not at times disturbing. Sandra is a normal woman, trying to raise a normal baby, as the most normal way she can! Let's give her a rest, and turn our attention to others, at this point!

Thank why are you paying attention to her by viewing this video?
I only turned the show on to see Betty White, who was advertised to be on it.But after wasting 1/2 an hour of my life,I switched channels. That was the most pathetic thing I'd ever seen.Never heard of the host either, and he sure wasn't funny. When their attempts at humor get no laughs and you find yourself cringing in their shame,it's time to tune out.

Didn't like the MTV Award Show. Tuned out after 1/2 hour or so. Scarlett is a terrible and overhyped actress and wish she hadn't shared the stage with a good actress like Sandra.
I thought Rob and Kristin did a good job on stage.

Tom has made remarkable performance!

Sorry, I don't know what Sandra B. was trying to prove but it was not a good move for her image. These girl on girl things are not hot (unless someone is gay) they are disgusting.

I just think the media need to find someone else to rave about other then Sandra Bullock. I mean she's had enough problems with this Jessy James thing but whatever she an inspration to my and thousands of others. I can already see the media starting rumors about Sandra Bullock being bisexual and im proud of her brave speech last night it was amazing.

Really like Sandra. The kiss was kind of a silly thing to do. Sort of "out" of her zone. O well!

Scarlett got to watch her husband kiss Sandra so now she can tell Ryan she kissed her too!!!
girl kissing girl is gettin old. I got it! Let's more on...

I think the girl on girl kiss was to give america somthing else to talk about besides the fact love left her blindsided. Tom crusie really needs to act his age i guess he is trying to seem as imature as his wife.Thier foul mouths did not impress anyone they should check this potty mouths at the door. Just cause it was ten o'clock did not mean we need to hear such grabage..

Tom Cruise is getting older and I think he's trying hard to redeem himself. Grant it he still is fine to look at but his crazy actions in the past 5 yrs has KNOCKED him down by no fault but of his own and that craziness is still there he's just getting better at hiding it. I give Kudos to Katie for putting up with his insane ideas but she's getting a nice spending allowance for it and deserves it :)
