Kate Gosselin & Kids Make a Splash at Discovery Cove

Kate Gosselin returned to TLC last night for the debut of 'Kate Plus 8.' During the episode (sans Jon Gosselin), she takes the sextuplets, who turned six on May 10, to Florida to celebrate their birthday at Orlando's Discovery Cove. While the younger ones got to swim with dolphins, elder twins Maddy and Cara "had their little meltdown ... [saying], 'Oh, the little kids get this and that,'" Gosselin laments.

But all was well when she gave them their own pinata -- to vent their frustration with. "[Maddy] was very happy that there was a pinata reserved for she and Cara," the reality mom said. Watch highlights from the show. >>>

During the first hour of the show, the Gosselin kids seemed excited to have the TLC camera crew back in their home. "I missed you guys a lot!" one of the kids squealed, as the production team re-entered the Gosselins' Pennsylvania home. "Everything is back to normal!" said another.

The second hour of the show -- entitled 'Inside Kate's World' -- showed viewers Kate's evolution into life as a single mother, including even more behind-the-scenes footage of 'Dancing With the Stars.' At one point, bodyguard Steve Neild is seen canceling a practice after Kate cries. "I don't have the mind capacity to dance," she says.

He added that she receives many threats "in the mailbox and on her doorstep ... people either love her to bits or they hate her."

I am really getting sick and tired of people saying mean things to Kate. She has to earn money for her children... I had a hard time, raising one child; let alone the 8 she has. I say, "Kudos to you, Kate." You go, Girl!!

I am getting sick of hearing Kate needs money for her kids. She is getting child support from Jon, Half million from DWTS, Money from her books, money from appearances on shows, trust funds for her kids college expenses. I guess sne needs more money for her nannies, housekeepers, body guard, hairdressers, spas, traveling, restaurants, etc... One should be so lucky. All this and not seeing her kids very much. There are people out of work who cannot even put food on their tables. Feel sorry for poor, whiney, Kate? Ha.

You guys sounds so stupid. Kate may be alot of things but shes a good Mom. If you dont like them or their show then dont watch them but shut the hell up already. If your life was on TV for all to see i bet youd get alot of people thinking your life wasnt perfect and people wouldnt be fans of yours either. I dont think Kate is the most layed-back person but she certainly doesnt deserve all the flack shes getting. Her ex husband was a whiney crybaby and he has since abused every girlfriend hes had since their divorce and he DOESNT pay child support like some of you idiots think. Get a life people and stop the hate it makes you look so ugly.

Here we go again, I wouldn't watch her even if she paid me. No one wants to hear the drama. Growing up, there was a neighbor who had 12 kids. Where was her show. Please!! Enough already! How many times does she need her 15 minutes? If the kids are having breakdowns, there has to be a bigger reason than dolphins or pinatas.. Like maybe the right kind of attention from both parents? I for one will not waste an hour of my life that I cannot get back watching this woman do anything!!
