Mr. T: 'A-Team' Is 'Too Graphic,' 'Nothing Like' Original

Mr. T, 58-year-old star of television's original 'A-Team,' has seen this summer's blockbuster adaptation and isn't exactly pleased.
"It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week," the wrestler-actor, who portrayed BA "Bad Attitude" Baracus in the 1980s, tells the
Guardian.
"People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore," Mr. T says.
Mixed martial arts fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson reprises Mr. T's role in the new film. The Guardian says the new 'A-Team' trades lighter fare for more adult themes, noting the original TV show refused to show anyone die onscreen, "which some consider one of its most amusingly silly traits."
Two members of the original cast, Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict, are said to have filmed cameos. "Mr. T apparently refused to make an appearance," the Guardian writes.

I agree with Mr. T. I watched the TV show and it was great. It seems that Hollywood has a case of writers block or something. All they do now is make repeats of good TV shows into moives and updating some for TV again { CBS: Hawaii 5-O }. Try something original Hollywood~!

Gee I didn't know more graphic meant progress. Silly me. I thought more graphic just meant people had lost taste.

Mr. T is a very religious person and is a very strong advocate for children. I'm sure he's upset that this is not a movie that children can go see. I was about 10 when the A-Team was on the air and it was one of my favorites - we never missed it. I look forward to seeing it myself - but I will not be bringing my kids - I think Mr. T would have wanted us all to enjoy it together.

THUMBS UP MR.T. for taking a stand against the garbage in movies today. Some people might not notice but at one does.

I agree with Mr. T and he just went up a couple notches in my book. All these re-makes are just CGI filled garbage with little if any actual plot (other than filling pockets with money).

I admire MR. T's moral ethical values. He doesn't believe in killing and hurting anyone and he doesn't want others to think killing is cool. Because it isn't. You can say whatever you want to concerning our man MR. T but just remember he pity's you fool !

I hope when they remake/reboot/ruin "Little House", they star Brangelina as Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls, and Tom Cruise can play Albert. I'm looking forward to that, oh and I'm also really looking forward to the reboots of RoboCop and Predator. I hope they absolutely destroy two of the best action sci-fi films of the 80's. Can't wait Hollywood! Please stop being so good to us!

Mr. T is an idiot.
I was a professional photographer in Los Angeles for 30 years.
I once photographed a benefit for autistic kids....Mr. T was the
master of ceremonies.
He totally ignored all the kids, made his remarks, and didn't
even acknowlege one kid who was sitting at my table.
I witnessed this....that guy is a total a-hole.

I totally agree with Mr T. The things that movie producers put into films today are to desensitize our younger generations to the violence and open sex that disentigrates their minds, and lets them think this is the way things are supposed to be like. I know there is a LOT of violence in the world, but it doesn't have to be shoved down our throats by the movie industry. And as for Rampage Jackson, if he was any kind of a UFC fighter, he wouldn't have had to do a violent movie to make money. He is a PUNK and couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag.
