Suze Orman Undergoes Emergency Appendectomy

CNBC financial host Suze Orman underwent an emergency appendectomy on Saturday and is now recovering, PEOPLE reports. Orman, who was celebrating her 59th birthday that same day, is resting and expected to make a full recovery.

Orman had her appendix removed on Saturday at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and was discharged Tuesday, her spokeswoman, Kristin Bouton, told PEOPLE. The financial guru plans to spend a few days resting in a Chicago hotel before returning home to Florida where she lives with her longtime partner, Kathy Travis.

Orman is currently the host of 'The Suze Orman Show' on CNBC and the author of several bestsellers, including the recently released, Suze Orman's 2010 Action Plan: New Rules for New Times.

Glad that she was able to get the medical help and is resting and is fine. Suze is a beautiful lady, very smart, great personality, and quite versed in her profession. I enjoy her program, and have learned quite a bit. She makes her point and is a real person who seems to care.

As far as gay, straight - I only found out a year ago she was a lesbian. I had no idea, and her partner is a lovely woman, they have been together for many years, own homes, and she is open about it, but does not flaunt. She is a lady in her business and professional life. I find she is someone to admire because she gives excellent advice, makes it easy to understand and her products are very reasonable. And she is damn good looking for 59.
