Danielle Staub Hopes Sex Tape Is a Kendra-Sized Hit

Danielle Staub has big plans for her sex tape, and they involve besting Kendra Wilkinson at the porno shop cash register. The 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star told a TMZ cameraman on Wednesday that the full-length film -- titled 'Danielle Staub Raw' -- was stolen and never intended for release ... but now that it will hit stores, well, she's hoping it's a hit.

"I haven't seen hers," Staub, 47, said of Wilkinson's tape. "I haven't seen mine either, but I do know I was in it, so if it's going to do anything I would hope mine would be better."

Wilkinson's tape, 'Kendra Exposed,' has already broken sales records for its distributor, Vivid Entertainment, outpacing similar celebrity tapes from, among others, Paris Hilton.

Hustler acquired the flick and will release it on June 14. Staub said she tried to stop it, but soon gave up.

"I just decided, you know what, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So what am I left to do?" she asked. "It wasn't something that I would have chose to have had released, but it's out there and there's nothing I can do about it now."

There has been some controversy over whether the film was actually stolen and leaked or if it was intended for public distribution. Some who have seen it say it has unusually high production values for a homemade film and that Staub is referred to as an "actor" and not a "performer" (as is customary in porn films) in a disclaimer that runs at the end of a preview for the tape.

As for her mystery co-star in the flick (lunch-losing stills here), Staub is staying tight-lipped, but she's sure he wasn't the leaker. "To the best of my knowledge, he had nothing to do with it."

A rep from Hustler told TMZ that the tape was shot last September -- several months after she first appeared on the Bravo reality show.

On May 25, Staub released her first book, 'The Naked Truth: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewife of New Jersey -- In Her Own Words,' an explosive tell-all memoir in which she opens up about her scandalous past.

She became famous after her first season on 'Housewives of New Jersey,' when allegations surfaced about her party-girl past, supposedly involving drugs, sex and run-ins with the law.

Staub's party girl ways came back to haunt her when the other 'Housewives' caught wind of her past, which was documented in a 1995 book entitled 'Cop Without a Badge' by Charles Kipps.

The book includes a 1986 mugshot of Staub, then known as Beverly Merrill. According to the official indictment filed with the United States District Court Court on July 2, 1986, she was charged with eight felonies, including extortion, cocaine possession and narcotics conspiracy.

Staub is now a divorced, single mother with two daughters, Christine and Jillian.

Someone needs to call CPS on this BI. She's a sad excuse for a mother. First she brings a bunch of convicted gangsters around her daughters, and now she has made a sex tape. Disgusting...and she calls herself a mother. She must have been a real skank for her ex-husband to hate her so much that he doesn't even provide for his own children, unless they're not his. I believe everything that he wrote about her in his book.

if you watch this tape,you got real problems. an old bitty haivng sex. get me a punk bucket. kendra a little better,but she has more miles on her than a 1936 studebaker! basically you should not be watching porn. get a life make your own porn with you wife and keep it between yourselfs. people get rich and you get poor by participating in this crazy stuff.
