Adriana Lima Introduces Baby Valentina to the World

Supermodel Adriana Lima is finally showing off her bundle of joy in the premiere issue of HOLA! Brazil. Posing alongside her husband, Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric, the two are all smiles with daughter Valentina, whom Lima gave birth to on November 15, 2009.

In the interview, Lima opens up about her difficult pregnancy, adding Valentina was delivered six weeks early after the Victoria's Secret model was diagnosed with preeclampsia, a condition in which high blood pressure and protein develop after the twentieth week of pregnancy. The only way to cure preeclampsia is to deliver the baby, and their little girl arrived weighing only 4.4 pounds.

Today, both mother and daughter are happy and healthy.

Lima gushed about her baby to PopEater back in April. "I am blessed and fortunate to have a loving and supportive husband and family, including my mother, to help out, so when it comes to juggling, we will manage. We are grateful that we are all there to support one another," Lima said.

"I am very thankful that I had such a great mom and hope I can follow in her footsteps and be a role model for my daughter as my mom was for me," she added.

The Brazilian model, who famously declared her intention to remain a virgin until marriage, started dating Jaric in 2006. The pair became engaged in 2008, on Lima's 27th birthday, and married in 2009 -- on Valentine's Day -- in a small, private ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

That's because she's NOT 27. It says she was 27 in 2008, so, that would make her about 29 now.

please she's only a victoria secret Lingrie model nothing big looks aren't the most important thing in the world and since the baby was born early she would've been due December 30th the day after Carlo Ponti Jr's birthday granted he was born famous as his mother is Academy award winning actress Sophia Loren which is a bigger deal than being the child of a model

Well hopefully she married in jan/feb 2009,if not then she didnt keep her intention of being a virgin when she got married,haha since the baby was born in november 2009! But other than that she is a beautiful model and congrats to her and the family:)

It clearly said she delivered the baby 6 weeks early after it was discovered she had preeclampsia. Which means her baby was actually due late December, meaning she got preggo in March over a month after marrying on V-Day

she was married in Feb. 2009 and the baby was born Novv 2009 -- that is nine months -- but the article states that she has preecampsia and the baby was born 6 weeks early and weighed 4.4 pounds

shezgotcateyez.. uh didnt u read the article? The got married on Valentines Day (Feb 14. 2009) and her baby was delivered 6 weeks early, meaning she was due mid to ending of december. she became pregnant less than 2 months after they got married.
