Jodie Foster Accused of Battery by 17-Year-Old Boy

Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster has been accused of battery by a 17-year-old boy after an incident in the parking lot of a Los Angeles-area shopping mall,
according to RadarOnline.com. However, the actress's rep
tells PEOPLE that the accusations are a "fabrication."
The incident occurred on May 29 at the Grove shopping complex. According to the police report, the boy spotted Foster in the valet parking area and approached her to take a picture. The police report was filed after the incident and officers did not report to the scene.
Describing the incident to
Radar, the boy's father said, "Jodie pushed and shoved him leaving scratches and bruises on his arm ... She came after him, poked him in the chest and said, 'Do you even have a mother you slime ball?' He didn't mouth back at all and was scared of her."
However, the actress's rep tells another story. "This guy was most definitely a professional paparazzo," says the rep. "He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet."
"He crowded her and her two young children and took photos of them the whole time," adds the rep, noting that the actress approached the boy and asked him to stop.
Foster, who is notoriously protective of her private life, was at the Grove seeing a movie with her two sons, Charles, 11, and Christopher, 8. The victim's father believes the actress's reaction was an attempt to protect her sons, but believes she overreacted. "My wife is furious that while Jodie was trying to protect her children, she wasn't there to protect her son," he told Radar.
"At one point Jodie's son even came over to my son and apologized. Her kids were really embarrassed," he added.
The boy was apparently a fan of the 'Panic Room' star; however, he isn't feeling the love anymore. "This left a really bad impression on my son about her. He used to be a big fan and now he has a bad taste in his mouth. He's a good kid; kind of small for his age. There was no threat to Jodie."

If the paparazzo`s are so intent on photographing these hollywood wack jobs, they should herd all of these show folk into cages, where the paparozzi would have 24hr. access and photo`s galore.

ZERO, do you actually believe that a person should be arrested for saying "Do you even have a mother you slime-ball?". So I'm guessing that ZERO is your IQ then?

At a certain level I guess that is the price of fame, but there ought to be a line drawn as to how evasive these parasite should go. Even celebrities ought to be allow a little space if they want to take their kids out for a movie.
As for the 17 year old boy... seriously, get a life.

Anybody that aggressive deserved a similar response. One can ask to snap a photo & if denied, should move away. How sick these celebrities must be of boorish people. Where their kids are concerned, they need to be all the more protective of privacy. May I kick this "kid"'s butt?

The father wasn't there so he doesn't know for sure what either party said. I agree with Cindi - asking might have resulted in a whole different experience for everyone!

I can't believe how gullible some people are. "Well, a gossip column reported that someone told them that someone said it so it must be true!".
The dumbing down of America continues.

no no, it was seen on the internet and so it has to be true. I don't know how often I hear that one. No wonder the country is in the mess it is....
There's actually a law that protects paparazzi in California for being able to photograph celebrities in public. When she said "DYEHAMYSB" it became a heated argument and it is unlawful to touch another person during an escalated debate!

Why didn't the boy's father stop him when it was obvious that Jodi did not want her children photographed? He's as much to blame as anyone.

To the moron who said ''Shouldnt she worry when people don't want to take her picture, shes lucky they still do''
Would you feel ''lucky'' if some strange man was sticking a huge camera in the face of your children?? Would you feel ''lucky'' if some guy pushed your kids aside to get your picture? Grow up.

This should be easy to sort out. Is he an innocent 17-YO, or a professional Pappy who was stalking Jody Foster? A little digging should turn up the truth, a very little digging. I love Jody Foster the actress, but you never know what types of people these celebs are behind the camera.

Ooooohhh...a 17 year old boy was accosted by Jodie Foster...how scarey. Doesn't Jodie Foster is 5'3" tall and probably weighs about 110 pounds. Somehow I don't think that to a young man who is probably much larger than she Jodie would pose much of a threat. Can you say, "maybe if we accuse her of something we can get some money out of her"?

I love Jodie! I wish she had broken the goon's camera.

If I were this kid, I would not be broadcasting the fact that I am 17 and got beaten up by a nearly 50 year old woman. What a loser.
I hope Jodie sues them till they have to go to the poorhouse.
