Jodie Foster Accused of Battery by 17-Year-Old Boy

Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster has been accused of battery by a 17-year-old boy after an incident in the parking lot of a Los Angeles-area shopping mall,
according to RadarOnline.com. However, the actress's rep
tells PEOPLE that the accusations are a "fabrication."
The incident occurred on May 29 at the Grove shopping complex. According to the police report, the boy spotted Foster in the valet parking area and approached her to take a picture. The police report was filed after the incident and officers did not report to the scene.
Describing the incident to
Radar, the boy's father said, "Jodie pushed and shoved him leaving scratches and bruises on his arm ... She came after him, poked him in the chest and said, 'Do you even have a mother you slime ball?' He didn't mouth back at all and was scared of her."
However, the actress's rep tells another story. "This guy was most definitely a professional paparazzo," says the rep. "He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet."
"He crowded her and her two young children and took photos of them the whole time," adds the rep, noting that the actress approached the boy and asked him to stop.
Foster, who is notoriously protective of her private life, was at the Grove seeing a movie with her two sons, Charles, 11, and Christopher, 8. The victim's father believes the actress's reaction was an attempt to protect her sons, but believes she overreacted. "My wife is furious that while Jodie was trying to protect her children, she wasn't there to protect her son," he told Radar.
"At one point Jodie's son even came over to my son and apologized. Her kids were really embarrassed," he added.
The boy was apparently a fan of the 'Panic Room' star; however, he isn't feeling the love anymore. "This left a really bad impression on my son about her. He used to be a big fan and now he has a bad taste in his mouth. He's a good kid; kind of small for his age. There was no threat to Jodie."

Haven't you ever seen a star trying to walk through the airport with all the camaras jammed up in their face?? What gives them the right to be able to walk in front of someone and block their way and stick a camera two inches from someones face??

Jodie, You " ROCK " Loved Ya in Taxi, The Accused & Silence of the Lambs. You have always been one foxy tuff girl & full of charisma. You Go Girl, wish you were my girl, if only for a day.

I am not rich or famous. However no one touched my kids or my little dog or me without the ok from me. I also do not touch another person or pet without asking and being told it is ok. Why should a celeb. not have the same rights? I don't blame her for going off on the punk. At this point in my life I havae to use a cane for walking and would not hesitate to bonk someone a good one with it if they were to get too close to me

I dont blame her one bit ,cant even see a damn movie with her kids without some idiot taking pictures! Knock em down girl! If he was a kid then knock his Dad down for not controlling his kid!!

Anyone notice that at this point it is dad that is doing most of the talking? HMMM his camera and he sent son to go take the picture as he is "Just 17"? AS I see it, if it is just an innocent kid wanting a picture of a star, why does he need camera equipmant worth several thousands of dollars???

After all this time, Jodie should be thrilled that someone, even a young person, not only knows who she is but actually wants to take a picture of her. When will these "Sillywood" people wake up and realize that if it weren't for their public and the poperazzi, they would drift away into never, never land!

You ever think how stupid it is that they spend millions of dollars promoting themselves and getting a fan base, make untold appearances to get their pictures out and their names known, and then suddenly they get offended because photographers are chasing them all over town. "you reap what you sow".

EXACTLY!
ANYONE that invades another persons space and is told to backoff and dosn't should have the s--t beat out of him or her! I am totally against the paparaze and have been since Lady Diane's death. They were to blame for the tragedie.

One correction to the article. Calls her "Academy Award winning actress Jodie Foster". That should be "TWO TIME Academy Award winning actress Jodie Foster".
The kid's a stalker and a vulture and he ain't winning any prizes this year. Jodie is in the right.

Being a guy, I think that if Jodie Foster were to beat me up, I'd be inclined to keep it to myself.

She sounds like a spoiled brat to me. The kid was small and probably shy. What is her problem? I'm on his side.

She is also very small. I'm on her side. Mess with anyone's kids with a professional camera and see what happens. He should have used that 1000mm. lens to zoom in for the pic and left her alone. I don't believe the punk was 'shy' at all. Let's see a pic of him! And his scratches.
yes she is a movie star and should be readly to sign or have pictures with her fans but there is a line. You do not approach them while they are with their children, eating dinner or anywhere they are not promoting something. They are people to and just because they have money you shouldn't try to provoke them to try to attack you for something you brought on yourself for stalking them. It's seems someone saw a cash cow - screw that 17 year old stalker.

Sorry, I don't buy it. And I wouldn't buy it even if Jodie Foster had a history of confrontations with "fans"...which she doesn't. It's just another jerk who is trying to cash in big on a celebrity by filing a law suit. Get a job, stupid.

When they have there children with them, they need to step back and leave them alone, I would do the same thing if I were her....
