Jodie Foster Accused of Battery by 17-Year-Old Boy

Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster has been accused of battery by a 17-year-old boy after an incident in the parking lot of a Los Angeles-area shopping mall,
according to RadarOnline.com. However, the actress's rep
tells PEOPLE that the accusations are a "fabrication."
The incident occurred on May 29 at the Grove shopping complex. According to the police report, the boy spotted Foster in the valet parking area and approached her to take a picture. The police report was filed after the incident and officers did not report to the scene.
Describing the incident to
Radar, the boy's father said, "Jodie pushed and shoved him leaving scratches and bruises on his arm ... She came after him, poked him in the chest and said, 'Do you even have a mother you slime ball?' He didn't mouth back at all and was scared of her."
However, the actress's rep tells another story. "This guy was most definitely a professional paparazzo," says the rep. "He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet."
"He crowded her and her two young children and took photos of them the whole time," adds the rep, noting that the actress approached the boy and asked him to stop.
Foster, who is notoriously protective of her private life, was at the Grove seeing a movie with her two sons, Charles, 11, and Christopher, 8. The victim's father believes the actress's reaction was an attempt to protect her sons, but believes she overreacted. "My wife is furious that while Jodie was trying to protect her children, she wasn't there to protect her son," he told Radar.
"At one point Jodie's son even came over to my son and apologized. Her kids were really embarrassed," he added.
The boy was apparently a fan of the 'Panic Room' star; however, he isn't feeling the love anymore. "This left a really bad impression on my son about her. He used to be a big fan and now he has a bad taste in his mouth. He's a good kid; kind of small for his age. There was no threat to Jodie."

Maybe she got mad when he got too close and whispered, "Good evening, Clarice."

Celebritys are people like you and I. They are entitled to there
privacy. She also had her children with her. This kid sounds like he trailed her to take pictures of her to sell for profit. The pareents of this 17 year old boy should teach him some respect and teach him to hold down a part time job. Chasing a person half way around Los Angeles is scary. The little cretin and his dad sound like stalkers. Too bad MS.Foster did not give the punk a good beating.

I don't believe one single word of his version of the story! Makes more sense that her story is more accurate. Strongly doubt that a 17 year old has such a camera, or, for that matter a huge fan of hers. She is an excellent actress, but, I would guess most 17 y/o's haven't a clue who she even is! She had every right to protect her children, and their privacy from the professional photographer/paparazzi AKA...17 y/o "boy".

"Foster, who is notoriously protective of her private life..."
Notorious = Not repeatedly violating her parol repeatedly drinking alcohol.
There's nothing wrong w/ keeping her private life ... private.

Actually Becky, and not that it matters with this incident, Jodie is an admitted lesbian who separated from her life partner fairly recently.
Becky, GET THOU TO A SCHOOL!
The punk deserved to be shoved. He should also, at age 17, be ashamed of himself for being pushed around by a woman. I guess that this one was a sissy.

I met Jodie Foster in a card and novelity shop in San Fransico years ago .. she was with her Mom and she was polite, shy and nice, great smile. We laughed over cards and then she had to leave .. I think this kid pulled out a camera and got agressive. Celebrities are cool if you don't scare them.

Jodie Foster is a very tiny petite woman. The fact that she is lesbian has nothing to do with anything. This boy was intruding on her private space and his parents should have taught him better. What they probably thought was: go take her picture and we can make some money out of it. Tabloids will pay for anything and people are greedy as hell. Even if he was small, this 17 year old was probably a very real threat to a tiny woman with two small children. I am a (straight) small woman and I think she should have punched him out! He needs to learn respect and appropriate behavior.

Oh, the poor little boy got poked in the chest and had some scratches on his arm. I smell a lawsuit, don't you? Hey, it's LA...take him to a psychiatrist so he doesn't end up being a serial killer. Jody should have knocked him into the middle of next week and kicked his father in the gonads.

hey women hater -- Are you hanging out on the lazy boy recliner tonight and licking cheese curl dust off your fingers and drinking beer? I am sure you are a real ladies man, but the only ones you can get are ones you have to pay.

Everywhere you go now a days there are cameras watching our every move. You can't tell me that there were no surveillance cameras in that mall or in the parking lot and that they didn't capture what really happened.

You guys must have missed the "big camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens" remark. The FATHER was the paparazzo! He told the kid to do the job because he figured he'd get away with it ... being a kid. If he was a real fan, he would have ASKED her if he could get a pic of the two of them together. Fans want a pic of the star WITH THEM ... not just some random photo that anyone could have taken and they cannot possibly prove THEY took it. He made the mistake and he paid for it ... end of story.

Sorry, if the kid had a "1000 mm lens" as reported, he wouldn't be able to be near her to get a photo. That lens is way over the top for anything close.

You know, you're allowed to have some privacy, even if you're friggen famous...let it go...

Sean Penn taught her well. Who would want a picture of Jodie Foster? Well actually I need one to put out in the cornfield since the crows is tearing my corn up.
