Christina Aguilera: I'm Sometimes Attracted to Women

'Bionic' singer Christina Aguilera has never been shy about expressing her sexuality. Now the 29-year-old mother is opening up about why she isn't just attracted to men. "I feel sexuality to be very empowering," Aguilera tells U.K.'s Company magazine in its July issue (via PEOPLE.) "I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, 'Oh it must be for a man.'"

"But men don't have the right to own our sexuality," she says. "If I want to be sexual, it's for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That's why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty."

Th' 'Dirty' singer says the revelation isn't something new. Instead, she's always tried to use her music to empower women because "we shouldn't be ashamed of ourselves or our bodies."

But Aguilera insists she's not leaving husband Jordan Bratman to explore her sexuality. She's content with the man she married almost five years recalling the first time the two met. "Everything was a little blurry and he was the one concrete person that I could trust."

"He was centered, grounded and always helped me see the positive in the negative. He would lift me out of my black hole of sometimes feeling sucked in by the negativity of people around me. My husband is the calm in the storm."

Though she acknowledges "you have to work at all relationships," she says, "He definitely makes life easier."

"Turning to gay?" Really? Actually, it is ranting lunatics that represent more of a threat to society. Learn to use capitalization correctly, and then take a basic course in grammar. These two things will, at least, make you appear less disturbed on the surface, although more diatribes like the one you posted here will leave little doubt that you have a geranium in your cranium.

Well said. It is sad that some major pop icon like Christina, Madonna, Ga Ga and probably lot's more are bi. It's scary and a challenge knowing my 13 yr. old daughter is exposed to this stuff and to think that at a weak moment she might get tempted by someone deceitful and perverse in life.

ANG maybe it you were a CARPET EATER your women would not be getting it from another woman who understands her body. You know just putting you d--k in a woman does not give them an orgasm wake up. Just because you reach orgasm that way does not do it for ALL woman learn the female part that does. It is the clitoris above the whole to all Guys who don't know this. I agree. Christina will say or do anything to get attention. Its too bad that she doesn't let her voice be her claim to fame. Instead, she relies on her skimpy wardrobe, and her rididculous interviews to keep her relevant. She must have some major issues.I think she is very insecure, and despite the beautiful voice she has, she is very jealous of other female recording artists.
