Christina Aguilera: I'm Sometimes Attracted to Women

'Bionic' singer Christina Aguilera has never been shy about expressing her sexuality. Now the 29-year-old mother is opening up about why she isn't just attracted to men. "I feel sexuality to be very empowering," Aguilera tells U.K.'s Company magazine in its July issue (via PEOPLE.) "I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, 'Oh it must be for a man.'"

"But men don't have the right to own our sexuality," she says. "If I want to be sexual, it's for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That's why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty."

Th' 'Dirty' singer says the revelation isn't something new. Instead, she's always tried to use her music to empower women because "we shouldn't be ashamed of ourselves or our bodies."

But Aguilera insists she's not leaving husband Jordan Bratman to explore her sexuality. She's content with the man she married almost five years recalling the first time the two met. "Everything was a little blurry and he was the one concrete person that I could trust."

"He was centered, grounded and always helped me see the positive in the negative. He would lift me out of my black hole of sometimes feeling sucked in by the negativity of people around me. My husband is the calm in the storm."

Though she acknowledges "you have to work at all relationships," she says, "He definitely makes life easier."

This is all for attention to promote her new CD. Anyone else notice how she no longer speaks with the fake ? Latino accent? Back when she was touring with Justin Timberlake and wearing her hair black, her speaking voice was so phoney. During a recent interview on Regis & Kelly there was no trace of an accent.

OH who cares if she is attracted to women. The question I have is why does she feel the need to tell everyone?! Seriously. Cause no one really cares.
