Report: Simon Monjack Had Two Children in Europe

While looking on Simon Monjack's personal laptop for information surrounding his death, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office found evidence that he has two children by different women living in Europe, TMZ is reporting. One child lives in England and the other in France.

"We were trying to locate doctor information," Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter tells E!Online. "He had reported that he was scheduled for a triple bypass or something but we can't find any cardiologist. Even his personal doctor said he didn't know anything about it." Instead of finding medical information, they came across information regarding the children as well as evidence of large wire transfers to lawyers and to a person in Europe.

It's unclear whether his wife, the recently-deceased actress Brittany Murphy, was aware of the children.

Monjack's publicist Roger Neal is upset that the coroner's office was looking around the laptop for anything other than medical information.

In a statement to E! News, Neal said, "We find it very curious that the L.A. Coroner would release information to media outlets which has nothing to do with Mr. Monjack's cause of death."

"These claims are surprising to [Brittany's mom] Sharon Murphy, and we have no information to verify that Simon is the father of these children.

"We believe that much of what has been given to the media by those who say they were close to Monjack, is incorrect. In reality they had very little or no relationship with him. I am sure this is just the start of much more misleading information to come."

UMMM someone please tell me what the existence of these two children has to do with his death? Oh I guess that one or both of them came to the US and did him in and then took off and went home. That makes as much sense to me as this stupid story. What I would like to know is...what are the findings of the autopsy.

How can they release this? This is the coroners office, not a tabloid! This is just disgusting of them! It is NOT the coroners place to release this kind of information.

I cannot believe the total unprofessionalism of the L.A. coroner's office. There ought to be some kind of sanction available for this violation of privacy. What in the world did this have to do with this man's cause of death? I really do not know enough about him or his wife to have any opinion of them, but no matter what, this is outrageous!!!

Often when there are more questions than answers, a psychological profile is done by a coroner's office on the deceased to rule out factors that are in question. There is nothing nefarious about the coroner's obligation to relate the cause of death to as specific a diagnosis as possible. As with any death, when there appears to be no reasonable cause, not all psychological profile findings will be wrapped in a pretty bow. As many family members, friends and 'dealings' will be investigated.

And just how do you know that he wasn't showing financial responsibility for his children. How do you know that he and Brittany didn't have a relationship with his children but just didn't think it was the business of the press and idiots like you?
