Yes, we spent the morning wondering how Miley Cyrus legally got a tattoo in her ear. But we spent most of our time thinking, "Her ear? The inside of her ear?! Ouch!"So PopEater took a field trip to the tattoo den that is St. Mark's Place in New York City and talked to an expert -- a guy who's put enough ink on people's bodies to fill a few sets of encyclopedias. We asked Steve at Fun City Tattoo to estimate how much pain inked celebrities went through -- stars like Britney Spears (top of foot), Megan Fox (ribs, forearm), and Lil Wayne (inside of lip). Check out the video!

Who are they trying to impress with the tats?

get a life
Sorry... I still think they're ugly. Ink does not enhance the body, does not look good in evening attire, and really looks rude when you're holding a baby. My opinion.
tattoos are for GI's, convicts and motorcycle gangs. I just don't understand all of the women getting them .I think it looks skanky on a woman .But oh well different strokes for different folks .

omg..To all the people who dont understand...A tattoo is a story, a meaning, or a feeling we want to express..We choose ink because we earn the right to wear it..This is my temple and I choose to decorate it how ever I please. I am a 34 year old female and i have 8 tattoos, some ive had for 17 years now and i dont regret any of them!!!! oh and btw, it feels awesome getting a tat..

mw,,, I feel the same way my self.I have seen some beautiful ladies with tattoos.. It doesnt do them justice at all.
'Ink,,, as the younger people like to call it,, is only for inmates, and bikers. And anyone can tell who they are, and anyone can spot an impostor a mile away.
Hollywooders dont have a clue as to how us 'normal' folks live.
I think some of them think we all have tats. Bless their hearts.
But the kids,, they tend to live for the day. And when one lives only for the day, they end up full of regret tomorrow. My son spent thousands, getting some tats removed. It was worth every dime.

I am getting a tattoo in rememberance of a baby I had lost. Is that so wrong? Are you telling me that because I was not able to hold this child that I cant show my love for him? So I show my heart for my child with a tat. I am 40 years old not an inmate and you say bikers like its a dirty word. My church has a gathering just to ride for the love of God and to fellowship. Are you calling them wrong to ride? I will be getting this piece of art done in my childs name. Please don't judge my decision or anybody elses, because God will be doing my judging and He knows my pain for the loss.
I think tattoos are fine as long as they are tasteful regardless of who has them, man or woman. As one reader already stated most tattoos are there to tell a story or as a reminder of one of the happiest days of ones life. I have a tattoo of a heart w/ my oldest sons name and my oldest nephews name. I plan to get another one with my other kids names in it. I'm not much for total body tats but smaller concealable(if need be) ones are fine. TO EACH THEIR OWN.
