Michael Jackson's Kids Coping Without Dad

While tears most certainly flowed on Father's Day from Michael Jackson's three children, sources tell me the children might actually have a more normal life without daddy. How is that possible, you might ask? Consider the whirlwind and erratic life they led while Michael was still alive, and the more structured lifestyle they lead now.

"Even before Michael died, the children spent most of their time with their grandmother, Katherine," a Jackson insider tells me.

"Katherine's house was the only time they ever got any normality in their lives. With bedtime rules, regular school tutors and being taught to say 'please' and 'thank you.' In contrast, when the children were with Michael, they could stay up as late as they wanted, regularly skipped school and were forced to wear those silly masks to protect their identity. Finally, a year after his death, his children are thriving in a safe environment with lots of rules."

There is no doubt that all three children miss their daddy -- especially his daughter Paris, who Katherine Jackson says has turned her bedroom into a shrine to her father and made him a Father's Day card. The children will now be going to a regular school this September for the first time in their lives and will learn how to play with other kids.

Having the King of Pop as your father couldn't have been easy, especially for three young children who, like all kids, need boundaries as well as love ... even if your dad is the biggest superstar in the world.

it's a good thing michael died, his freaky life style was going to do nothing but harm to those two kids who's life was already in turmoil, sad thing is they are already probably so twisted that their future lifes will be twisted also and any news we hear about them will be on trouble athey are in and how it's all freako mike's fault

Rachel, I understand what you are saying . . . even if SEVERAL others didn't. They wore the masks so no one saw their faces -- or photographed them -- while they were out with Michael. Then, when they were away from the spotlight, they could be UNmasked and no one would know who they were.

BTW, I'm not a MJ apologist and I think a lot of his life was crazy, but I'm glad the kids are going to have a more normal life in the future.

Rachel, Rowe is NATURAL mother. If there were such a thing as "artificial contraceptives", woman would get pregnant. psk75999, although people would KNOW Michael's children,they STILL would not know what they LOOKED like. Point. So there is flaw in YOUR logic. Bunch of dolts in here.

No matter who they are, they have to be used to being around other kids , and adults. Michael didnt give them the chance to do this. I am sure he was a good father, but money isnt everything.
From what I have read, and heard these kids need to go to school. Not a public one, but the school will be private, and yet they wil be meating other kids their age. That is very important for any child. And their grand mother makes them follow rules, thats great. These kids are where they should be, with family. Their own mother basiclly sold them to Michael. So lets not say they need their mother, I had a mother, she was as sorry as any mother could be.
These kids are with a loving grand mother, who will take care of them well. And allow them to live as normal as possible, thats exactly what all children need.

Please guys, stop discussing whether or not they are his biological kids, its really disrespectful and absolutely NONE of our business.

@ Diana- actually Michael's children DID have plenty of exposure to other children and friends. when the family lived in Ireland Paris and her brothers hung out with local kids,including the owner of the house Michael was renting. the owners of the house decided NOT to tell their kids who their friend Paris' dad was in case they would go blab to the whole village that MJ was livin with them- thats what us Irish do- we have RESPECT for our celebrities' privacy ;)iv met these people so believe me! The Jackson children were also friends with Mark Lester's children among others. They had PLENTY of friends and are lovely children.

who ever wrote this article about michael not raising his kids right is the biggest jerk probley (bashire) those kids were with him all the time and they were raised with manners and bed times and no they didnt go around with masks on all the time. as far as regular school no i think so, there to big a target for some sicko to go after. if i were their granma id keep them close as posible.unfourtunatly this is a sick and sad world specielly for kids. beware katherine you have their lives in your hands

Uh...Michael was black......very black...although he denied it EVERYONE knows he had surgery to alter his features......these kids are white......hmmmmmm.....Michael was not the father....& to be honest I don't think his door swung that way if you get my drift......he wasn't arrested for molesting little girls......

I wouldnt let debbie rowe pet my dog, much less raise my child,, no way. She sold her rights to her own child. Katherine is the one, and I think the right person to raise those kids. She will be placing them in school, all kids should be in school. This way they will learn to be around strangers. Every child needs this, its a basic lesson, to learn to play and work with others.
And no more mask,, thats not normal,, sorry, its not.
Michael wanted his kids to be raised by Katherine, not joe. It is a great idea that family rasies thise kids. Who else would love them enough to make sure their safe, and happy? As long as joe keeps his hands to himself, I think those kids are where they belong.
And it doesnt matter who the real mother and fathers were. Anyone can make a child, but very few have a clue as to how to raise them.

Speaking of Joe - I understand he's living at the home with Katherine. I would hope his contact with these children would be minimal and at best nil.

The truth these are never going to have what most people look at as a "normal". They will always be Michael Jackson's children. They will be hounded by the media, just like Michael was and like they are being now. I do believe Michael tried his best to give them as good a life as was possible. I also that Katherine will do the same. We all (fans, media, etc.) need to just back off and let them live their lives. If everyone wants them to have a normal life then cameras can't be going off every time they walk out the door.
