Michael Jackson's Kids Coping Without Dad

While tears most certainly flowed on Father's Day from Michael Jackson's three children, sources tell me the children might actually have a more normal life without daddy. How is that possible, you might ask? Consider the whirlwind and erratic life they led while Michael was still alive, and the more structured lifestyle they lead now.

"Even before Michael died, the children spent most of their time with their grandmother, Katherine," a Jackson insider tells me.

"Katherine's house was the only time they ever got any normality in their lives. With bedtime rules, regular school tutors and being taught to say 'please' and 'thank you.' In contrast, when the children were with Michael, they could stay up as late as they wanted, regularly skipped school and were forced to wear those silly masks to protect their identity. Finally, a year after his death, his children are thriving in a safe environment with lots of rules."

There is no doubt that all three children miss their daddy -- especially his daughter Paris, who Katherine Jackson says has turned her bedroom into a shrine to her father and made him a Father's Day card. The children will now be going to a regular school this September for the first time in their lives and will learn how to play with other kids.

Having the King of Pop as your father couldn't have been easy, especially for three young children who, like all kids, need boundaries as well as love ... even if your dad is the biggest superstar in the world.

I have to say that is not true. He was a good father to those kids and considering the way he was brought up I think he didn't do half bad. Also to everyone we are not around those kids to know exactly how they feel, what they are going through, what Michael did or did not do as a parent. We do know that the mother was not there, she gave them up for money and I have not respect for that. It seems they were around family and as far as the grandmother, she is a wonderful women just in a bad situation I think when raising her children, I don't think she had a say very much.

Are you kidding me?? They, like all kids, should never have to grieve such a loss. You think they don't hurt every day? MJ didn't do anything hurtful to them. What happened was he had a chance grow up as they did. Similar to having a younger, inexperienced parent.

Don't white celebrities parent black children all the time? So what if black parents have white kids. Why is it such a big deal? And why is it any of your business anyway. These kids don't belong to you or are related to you in any way. You'll just have to get over it or continue to live in misery because you can't do anything about it.

I agree with you, there are so many children that loose their parents to war, I had five of my own as a result of Vietnam. Not to mention all the children that are being abused, homeless and without food. These children have and always will live a life of luxury, how many children would just love to attend school on a regular basis let alone Private School. I feel for anyone who looses their parents and this is their business. Whether or not he is the biological father, I mean it's obvious he isn't, however that means nothing. He loved them to the best of his ability and gave them a good life, which is all that should matter. Allow his spirit in death to rest in peace for it was never allowed to rest in life.

Biology does not make a father. Michael Jackson loved and provided for these three beautiful spirits. They are his children in every sense of the word! Despite the rumors that swirl around Mr. Jackson, his children love and adore him. He must have been doing something right! My prayers are with them. I hope the media gives them the opportunity to grow and flourish without constantly invading their privacy...sadly being Michael Jackson's children, that is not likely to happen. May God bless you, Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket! I hope life will be good to you, and that as you grow up, you never forget that your daddy loved you very much. Ignore the stories you may read about him, and just cling to what you know is true, the memories you carry of him in your very own hearts!

Your "insider" is not giving you the correct information.
The children were not with Katherine most of the time.
Listen to Kai Chase's story.. the chef.. the children were there every morning to have breakfast and lunch with their dad.
He didnt allow them to skip school.

Get the facts right before you write a story like this.
