'I'm Bisexual,' Vanessa Carlton Tells Crowd of 18,000

Performing at Saturday's Nashville Pride concert, Vanessa Carlton announced live to a crowd of 18,000 fans that she is bisexual.

"I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman," she said. According to the concert's website, this was the event's 22nd year of "celebrating the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in Middle Tennessee." Carlton headlined the event.

Carlton, not known to currently be involved with anyone, was previously linked to John Mayer and Third Eye Blind frontman Stephen Jenkins.

'True Blood' starlet Anna Paquin also recently announced her own bisexuality.

Carlton broke out with 2002's 'Be Not Nobody,' an album that went platinum in the U.S. and gold in three other countries. Her fourth album, 'Rabbits on the Run,' is set for release this year. See the video for her first hit, 'A Thousand Miles':

"It wasn't like it was a big secret," Anna Paquin said of her headline-grabbing reveal earlier this year. "It was just a cause I cared about and privately supported, but not one that I had ever had an opportunity to speak out about in a way that would be useful. Obviously I know that one person's voice doesn't necessarily do that much, but I just wanted to do my bit."

Hey!!, no need to be all butthole about it.i never thought she'd say it but yea lol.vanessa made the sound a thousand miles, u had to hear it bak then lol.yea she's not all in the media and on tv but she came out the same time michelle branch and avril lavigne came out.Shes an amazing singer,youd love her if u check her out ^0^

God made us all...the hetrosexuals and the homosexuals. beign gay is not by choice, it is how god made us!
Why would one "choose" to be gay and want to deal day in and day out with the judging, hate, and all the other things gays deal with from simple close minded people! why can't we all just get along, and not judge one another, thats God's job!

Sorry, but if you read the bible, it speaks against homosexuality. How can you believe that God would call something a sin, yet CREATE someone who was destined to sin their entire life? That would put God in a totally sadistic light. Homosexuality is a sin...but God forgives us the sins of the flesh and loves us anyway.

It is definately a choice. God did not make you gay...you choose to be gay. Its like any other sin, you decide to do it or not. God did not make the thief destined to steal, it is a choice....

Kris, I don't recall reading the Bible where it says God created ADAM and ADAM or EVE and EVE. God did not make people gay!!! He did create ADAM and EVE though. it must be really hard for the gay population though to be so confused that they would blame God
for there choices.

I really hate to bust your bubble but God made a man and a woman. It plainly states in teh Bible that I read the King James version that a man is to not lie with another man and the same for a woman. It is sickening to see how people have turn God into what ever they want him to be. His laws have been broken so many times over till we are now reaping what we have sown. We will be judged by disobeying Gods law I hate there will be so many people in hell.
