Legal documents show that Gary Coleman had filed a restraining order against ex-wife Shannon Price just months before she took him off life support, RadarOnline reports.According to the papers, Coleman claimed that Price moved back into their home without his consent while he was hospitalized.
He also said that Price "has shown a tendency to damage, destroy and steal my property and I believe she will continue to do so in my absence and while she is trespassing in my home."
"I believe if she is given any warning of this pending order to require her to immediately vacate the home, she will cause more damage and destroy more irreplaceable memorabilia, documents, personal papers and other such valuables," the papers continued.
The 'Diffr'ent Strokes' star was granted the restraining order on Feb. 19, 2010, but never served it to Price.

I still say she killed him. That's why she pulled the plug so early; so he couldn't stop her from making money off of him. She's no better than Joe Jackson.

They need to investigate her, I think she had a part in his death too, thats why she had the plug pulled so soon. She is one despicable piece of trash!! RIP Gary
Yup She did it.
10000% agree with everything!
Then he was cremated so that takes care of the perfect crime.
I AGREE!!
"she" didn't kill anyone. the hospital would not have
allowed it had there been a chance for survival.

Jessica, I agree with you. This should be investigated to the full extent of the law.
This does not make sense; if there was a restraining order how could she legally take him off life support? and this old excuse " I am afraid if I file charges, or do anything, the situation will get worse is a bunch of crap " well he did nothing now he is dead...

Evidently you haven't been in an abusive relationship. Things may be bad but many times get alot worse if papers are served because the abuser gets enraged that the victim has taken steps to regain control of themselves. Often the abuser gets so angry that even more violence up to and including killing the victim.
If you read the article it clearly states Gary had the order, but never served her with it.
As an ICU nurse, the thing I would question the most is: why was Shannon Price, who was Gary Coleman's EX-WIFE, be allowed to make the decision to withdraw support?!?! No one seems to be asking this of the healthcare team that was taking care of him. He had parents who are alive and well and who could've been, SHOULD'VE BEEN, contacted. They were legally his next of kin, since he did not have a spouse or legal age children, and the medical decisions regarding his care should have been up to them. I don't understand why this has not been an issue?!

you are so right nursemel and i have always wondered the same thing why was she allowed to pull the plug if they were divorced. even though he did not get along with his parents they still should have been the one to make the decision and not her and i believe she had something to do with his death and no one is questioning her @ all and it just seems so suspicious that nothing all all is being done about it.
Its been already said its because he put her as his proxy. She was able to make all decisions on his health in the event he was too ill to do so himself
they have already addressed this issue....Mr Coleman had a health care proxy in place with the hospital that directed these decisions to shannon. he never changed it.
This is VERY strange indeed. According to law, how would she qualify as next of kin?
I agree why weren't his parents notified..I do remember reading that they weren't speaking or had previous problems..could this be the reason were they legally removed as parents...Did the police investigate his death and were satisfied that it was an accidental fall?...There seems to be alot of unanwered questions I do hope his parents are raising hell to get the answers they need...and if this girl had anything to do with his death..then she should be brought to justice...Gary Coleman was a human being and didnt deserve this...
NurseMel, It has been printed that although they were divorced for some odd reason his ex wife was his medical proxy. I personally do not understand why he would have kept it that way unless he forgot about the paperwork
It didn't matter if he had a proxy, because his living will also stated that he wanted to be kept alive for 15 days and after the 15 days the decision could be made. So whether or not it was her decision to make doens't matter, the same living will that listed her as the person to make that decision also said that he wanted her to wait 15 days to make it, and she didn't She waited 48 hours or less. If she truly loved him, she would have respected ALL his wishes, not just the one she wanted to hear. She did it, no doubt about it. The Perfect Murder.
