Gary Coleman's Parents: Shannon Price Behaved a 'Little Weird'

Gary Coleman's parents, Willie and Sue Coleman, are visiting 'The Joy Behar Show' on HLN tonight to talk about Gary's remains, their relationship with their son, and the "weird" behavior of Gary's ex-wife, Shannon Price.

The legal battles around the actor's estate and remains have been daily news with updated snippets of information popping up constantly. Just today, it was reported that Gary filed a restraining order against ex-wife Price just months before his death. Though he was granted the order, he never served it to Price.

Tonight, the Colemans share their version of events and how the past month has been for them. Excerpts from the Joy Behar interview after the jump.

On Gary's remains:
Willie Coleman: "Everything is, like you say, everything is up in the air right now. But if there's a clause in their will, his ex wife is entitled to them. We won't stand in her way. She can have him. But, I really can't say that I would oppose to it. Or either that I would be willing to, you know, let her have him."

Sue Coleman: "Even if the court should say that his remains, the ashes, come to us, we're willing to accept them."

On Gary's ex-wife Shannon Price:
Sue Coleman: "We didn't know about the restraining order. And if that's true, then, you know, then the attorneys and the person in charge of his estate will have to work that out. We have not met her... I do think that she's young. Inexperienced."

On the published deathbed photos:
Sue Coleman: "That I thought was a little weird. I can understand if she wanted to have photos made for her own self, for her own use..."

Willie Coleman: "But not on his death bed. Not on his death bed."

Sue Coleman: "You know, like I said, I think she's young. I don't know if she had counseling. I don't know if she had anyone guiding her or saying, you know, 'You should do this, or you shouldn't do that.' I don't know what the situation was with her. And I don't know what her intentions was when she took those photos. But I do understand that they went out to the public."

On Gary Coleman as a child:
Sue Coleman: "He was never shy. Precocious, yes. He was fun loving. He loved to be with people. He loved to entertain people, even as a little kid. And I've often told a story of my dad who was his main audience when he was two or three years old.

"And no matter what he did, if he sang, or if he danced, or if he turned a somersault, whatever, my dad would always cheer and applaud for him. So he was acting very early in his life."

I am really curious to Gary Colemans ex wifes motives. And the restraing order. Could she possibly have been abusive? Could it be possible she was the one resposible for his fall down stairs that killed him? Has the death been investigated? Why does she want attention of Gary's death bed photo's? Money of course. I hope the authorities investigate where was she the night of his accident. Not saying Gary wasn't a difficult person to be around. But he did have reason to feel threatened by ex wife "Price".

I only know him via his being famous, I never met him. And even if he didn't, what does that have to do with anything? 2) Yes, he is dead from a fall or being pushed. If Shanon Price pushed him, what does her being white do with anything? 3) Maybe she did take photos for some attempt at financial gain. Maybe she was just clueless. But again, I will ask what does her motives, callous or clueless have to do with her race? Or, to ask it in another way, are you just a bigot?

Blurgle...Gary Coleman was a very angry little man and he did say he did NOT like Black women so did Dennis Rodman. Race has nothing to do with it but he never found true love reguardless of race. He was divorce from Shannon and she could not wait to pull the plug. What did she have to hide. Was his body cremated?
She can not be that stupid, she took those deathbed pictures to make money.

It's been widely known since Gary Coleman was on Diffrent Strokes that he was born with very serious kidney disease & had 2 kidney transplants during the course of his short life. When your kidneys do not function properly, the pituitary gland, which is responsible for enabling normal growth, basically shuts down & is unable to produce the necessary hormones it needs to function properly. Thus, a person with this disease from birth usually does not reach their potenetial height.

Gary Coleman's Ex wife spoke of how he was so nice & bought her a car. I wish he'd spent the money to send her to an othodontist instead!

Gary Coleman didn't want these vultures near him in life, I'm sure he still feel that way in the grave. What can they say? How they wasted his money when he was a "child Star", and he had to sue them to get control of his OWN money. If they were in any of his wills, it would be for them not to get a cent of his Estate. When Coleman and Price got married, they were saying Price was a fool marrying Coleman, because at the time he was off the chain. So I say, give her his Estate. "It's the Law".
