Jake 'Blindsided' By Vienna Selling Split Story

Poor ex-'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka found out his engagement to blonde beauty Vienna Girardi was over by reading about it on the cover of Star magazine! As if that wasn't enough of a kick in the gut, the hunky reality star's almost-wife made out huge by selling the story to the tabloid. How much did she make off of her salacious story? We've got the exclusive on Vienna's big payday ... after the jump!

"Vienna sold the split story to Star for $90,000 behind Jake's back," a publishing insider tells me. "Jake was totally blindsided. Not only did he have no idea that Vienna was calling off their three-month engagement, he also had no idea that she would be the type of girl to profit from the breakup."

My source goes on to tell me that, as many would be, Jake is simply "devastated by the news. He thought he had found the love of his life and now finds out she sold him out."

And although Jake might be heartbroken, it didn't stop him from running to People magazine to tell his side of the story. It's amazing that even through his tears, Jake managed to do an interview or two! Oh, how I love the publicity wars that go on nowadays.

It's not unusual for celebrities to make big bucks from selling wedding and baby pictures to magazines, however, selling the fact that you broke up before telling your significant other is a new low.

ABC is very upset with the way Vienna has handled this. Sources tell me they are worried that another 'Bachelor' breakup will hurt the entire franchise.

"Once people stop believing the show is about finding true love and instead making these awful people famous, they will stop watching," an industry source tells me. Currently, the 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' series are 2-for-19 in producing successful marriages. Fingers crossed for Ali and whoever she picks!

She would do anything for a buck. She thinks she is a celeb now, NOT. She said she wanted to be on DWTS. I hope not, one train wreck was enough(Kate). Jake and Vienna, just go away and stay there. That show should be cancelled.

What Vienna did does not surprise me at all. Most of us saw her as a shallow insincere person early on & this proves her self-centeredness. Jake had to be blind to have chosen her in the first place. If Vienna thinks money is going to buy happiness she will have a rude awakening. She has shown the world what a truly low-life she is. At the same time I have no sympathy for Jake either. It appears the bucks are the goal for him too. Where is the self-respect these days? It is sad what people will stoop to for the almighty dollar.

I am tired of Fox news baiting watchers to stay tuned to something that will never happen. IE: The Vienna/Jake story, the morning show 9AM-10AM kept announcing Vienna was going to be on "Dishing the dirt". The show ended at 10AM with no Vienna dishing dirt. Some people have better things to do with their time, then to wait for a story that won't happen. As for me. I am done with Fox News.

It was a known fact she was a user and a loser - still is. Jake was warned by all the other girls, but he just wasn't that swift to catch on - and he was a pilot????? Scary. Plus the money she stole from her previous husband for a boob job - that says it all.

No surprise she went right to a magazine to spill everything. The only thing she wants is MONEY. She might have been horrible in the sack after the engagement and that is why Jake didn't want to have sex. He is no angel either! They were made for each other -- two losers and always will be losers. Jake also will make big money from his side of the story... I think it was planned all along just so they both would make money! Pathetic!

Perhaps it would help if behinds the scene someone could advise the guy or gal a tidbit of truth when they see they are headed toward picking the wrong person. We see it at home, but unfortunately, they can't hear us screaming.

Wow, what a surprise. This couple and all couples on these reality shows are in it for the 15 minutes of fame and nothing more. I watched one of the reality shows once and saw what was going on and said no more. The men are usually fairly good looking, so I cannot see unless they are total arrogant fools, why they cannot get a woman in a normal manner. The women are it appears mosting snobbly, I love me and probably cannot get a guy because these babes are too much in love with themselves.
I would be appreciated if all reality shows would disappear....
