Poor ex-'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka found out his engagement to blonde beauty Vienna Girardi was over by reading about it on the cover of Star magazine! As if that wasn't enough of a kick in the gut, the hunky reality star's almost-wife made out huge by selling the story to the tabloid. How much did she make off of her salacious story? We've got the exclusive on Vienna's big payday ... after the jump!"Vienna sold the split story to Star for $90,000 behind Jake's back," a publishing insider tells me. "Jake was totally blindsided. Not only did he have no idea that Vienna was calling off their three-month engagement, he also had no idea that she would be the type of girl to profit from the breakup."
My source goes on to tell me that, as many would be, Jake is simply "devastated by the news. He thought he had found the love of his life and now finds out she sold him out."
And although Jake might be heartbroken, it didn't stop him from running to People magazine to tell his side of the story. It's amazing that even through his tears, Jake managed to do an interview or two! Oh, how I love the publicity wars that go on nowadays. It's not unusual for celebrities to make big bucks from selling wedding and baby pictures to magazines, however, selling the fact that you broke up before telling your significant other is a new low.
ABC is very upset with the way Vienna has handled this. Sources tell me they are worried that another 'Bachelor' breakup will hurt the entire franchise.
"Once people stop believing the show is about finding true love and instead making these awful people famous, they will stop watching," an industry source tells me. Currently, the 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' series are 2-for-19 in producing successful marriages. Fingers crossed for Ali and whoever she picks!

Why is she being referred to as a "blonde beauty" when no one would even say she's attractive?

Wow a money grubbing chick....how UNSURPRISING. Leave it to a woman to find any reason to profit. Pethetic.

Why does the Bachelor/ette show have to end in an engagement? It just seems too soon of having a relationship with dozens of hopefuls to a few weeks later being engaged. I think that's why the 19-2 count is that way. The bachelor should only have to choose someone that he/she would like to get to know better. All the pressure of an engagement with all the media looking at you is a lot to go through.
Maybe the show should lighten up on the number of hopefuls or have the bachelors/ettes look at the applicants prior to the show and weed out those that person may not have an interest. Then start the show with maybe 10-12 hopefuls so the bachelors/ettes can spend more one-on-one time with them. Right now the show is hanging on with scandals but they will get old fast. Find out what makes people watch these reality shows. Bachelor is getting as bad as that one show where you met the person that night and got married. Can't remember the name.

I'm sorry I knew something was " up " with Jake from the first time I saw him on the Bachelorette, he is simply too " rehearsed", Fake whichever.
Whenever Jake snapped at his DWTS pro Chelsy, saying " I'm not asking you I'm telling you" as she was trying to teach him a dance, well I knew then he wasn't the " Good Guy " he professed to be....Oh and the crying, YIKES ! That guy wouldn't stop with the tears !! No genuine person cries that much over the things he was " pretending " to cry about....I'm no huge Vienna fan but Jake is Fake and that is that !
