Lady Gaga Influenced by Madonna and Ace of Base for 'Alejandro?

After several listens to Lady Gaga's latest single, 'Alejandro,' we realized we'd heard the song before -- in Madonna's and Ace of Base's catalogs.

Yep, 'Alejandro,' reminds us of a mix between Madge's 'La Isla Bonita' and the Swedish pop group's 'Don't Turn Around.' (Pictured above.)

We're not the only ones who made this connection. There's already a YouTube remix of 'Alejandro' and 'Don't Turn Around.'

But we want to know what you think. Listen to each song below and let us know if Gaga's tune makes you think of the other two?

I agree, this type of moron likes anything that the media would put out as "new", in essence they always try to fing something positive to say about pure crap because people in power present it. What a suck -up! If she is soooooo talented why doesnt she make up her own song!

And YOU my friend, must not know how many unique people there are in the world. It obviously just so happens that lady gaga can sing and has talent and her herself is unique, just like madonna and prince. madonna and prince are old. lady gaga is now the modern day craze that A LOT of people are in love with. i would just like to point out that i'm only a year or two younger than her and i can tell when people are sampling from songs far older than them. i know who prince and madonna are very well. age has nothing to do with lack of knowledge in something like this. while i do like some of her stuff, it's only because there are catchy beats. she IS a poseur, looking only for attention by dressing like a moron and having nearly EVERY song of hers about sex. she looks like a horse! it's all attention seeking gimmicks, she's running out of material and she's making a mockery of herself.

Not to detract from Lady Gaga or her artistry -- indeed, I had never heard of her until last October (and I have yet to listen to her music) -- it is my honest conviction that with the right PR, the vast majority of people can be convinced that the regular consumption of sloppy turd grinders, smothered in zit pus and sprinkled with toenails and crunchy snot, is not only nutritious, BUT THAT IT TASTES GOOD, TOO. Humans are social animals, and PR firms capitalize on the band-wagon effect.

I'm probably older than you and probably know (better than you) who Madonna and Prince are and I love Lady Gaga. Why? Because she is being influenced by real past icons and making even better melodies and lyrics. Or would you rather Miss Gaga be influenced by Milli Vannili and the likes? Get a life!
