America's favorite televised battle of wits, 'Jeopardy,' has seen plenty of changes over the years. From set makeovers and inflations in prize money (clues started at just $10 in 1964) to, of course, host Alex Trebek's endlessly polarizing decision to shave off his historic mustache, it seems we'd seen it all from the little quiz show that could. But last night, Trebek introduced an intriguing new category into the mix. Titled "Alex Meets Auto-Tune," it catapulted the program to new heights in cultural wackiness, synthesizing Trebek's voice over infectious, toe-tapping beats during what might possibly be the most surreal minute and forty seconds of television this year. Did a long-running meme die last night on 'Jeopardy,' or was it upgraded to a whole new level of greatness? Watch and decide after the jump.Alex Trebek's Adventures In Auto-Tuning On 'Jeopardy'

Every year they dumb it down more. My 13-year old can now answer most Final Jeopardy questions.
I was on during the 89-90 season... watch tapes from then, and you'll see what I mean

Man, I thought I was just getting smarter!!
Me too - I thought I was geting smarter.
I like Jeopardy; I remember watching it with my late grandfather as far back as I can remember and they've done little stunts like this in the past to lighten the show's mood but man-- autotune with a beat? This gimmick left me cold, sorry. Found it unamusing and a bit irritating. Now, I'm just grimacing and waiting with resignation for the wave of morons who think they can mix music to dump a load of crap filled with samples of these questions onto youtube. God help us all.
LOVE THE SHOW...NEVER MISS IT. MAKES ALL OUTHER SHOWS, LIKE ..WEEL,FUDE. LOOK STUPID!!

David, someone who cannot spell 'feud' or 'wheel' shouldn't be making disparaging remarks about someone else's IQ.
You're the one who looks stupid. Seriously.
I believe jeopardy is the most intell
igent show on the tube.
Peg, can you put that in the form of a question??
I saw this episode. It was very annoying. Not only was the auto tuning of his voice annoying, but the questions were downright stupid. Alex continues to be the worst part of the show, pretending that he actually knows the answers to these questions.

He does ...
Technically he does...
That was absolutely horrible and ridiculous. Just terrible. How embaressing for that show to do something like that.

Alex is so annoying. It grates me everytime he talks down to contestants as if he is the all-knowing Wizard of Oz. I think that over the years, simply because he can read answers that are already provided to him, he now somehow thinks that he is better than everyone else. I can not stomach this show, simply because of Alex.

Gee! Good thing you have the internet to vent your vituperative...otherwise Lord knows what you might do to make yourself feel better. Have you ever considered taking up running?
I only watch it because of Alex. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Alex WAS the Wizard Of Odds! NBC daytime game show circa 1974 lol
Alex Trebek has been hosting the show HOW long for you to find him annoying? Did you just start watching or something? The show itself has been on since 1964, for God's sakes...
ANYBODY WITH A (fam fude or weel of fortune) iq. would not like this show!!!
