Leo DiCaprio in a Dress? The Star Drags Out the Question

So here are the facts from the secret file we've put together on Leonardo DiCaprio playing notorious FBI honcho J. Edgar Hoover on film.

DiCaprio confirmed on Friday he's "talking" to director Clint Eastwood about playing Hoover. Hoover has been dogged through history by reports that he was an enthusiastic cross-dress in his private life.

So will this be the world's chance to see DiCaprio in a kicking frock?

"Will I wear a dress? Not as of yet," DiCaprio said Friday. "We haven't done the fittings for that."

Frankly, that's not exactly a full-dress denial. We know these when we see them.

DiCaprio said the film is all "about the secret life of J. Edgar Hoover" and it would "cover his personal life, definitely." So that whole dress thing would be pretty hard to cover up.

DiCaprio spoke from a press conference from his latest film, 'Inception,' the eagerly-awaited sci-fi flick helmed by Christopher
Nolan which opens July 16.

The star talked about his love of playing dark characters, like skilled thief Don Cobb in 'Inception,' and even Hoover -- "who had his hand in some of the most scandalous events in U.S. history."

"There's nothing more boring than showing up on set, saying a line and to know your character actually means what they say," he said. "It's much more interesting to have an unreliable narrator."

Unreliable narrator? Interesting. We're just going to assume that DiCaprio is being an unreliable narrator when he begs off the dress question. Bring on the frock!

I don't understand this Hollywood image and smear of J. Edgar Hoover, that he wore dresses. He did not. I am sick of the left-wing media continuing the lies about it when they are not bashing Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh

That's funny, because Hoover engaged in exactly the same behavior you accuse the "left-wing" of. I'd rather he had been a cross-dresser than a lying, vindictive and blackmailing bastard.

He did an excellent job in The Avaitor so I'm sure he will do a great job. Hoover did a good job in the FBI, he just like frilly things, nothing wrong with that.
