Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart's Deliciously Suspicious Romance
Robert Pattinson and
Kristen Stewart are perfect for each other. Perpetually in
bad moods, they glower at the cameras and give
grumpy sound bites and generally behave as if their money and fame is some vast burden on their young shoulders. Compared to them,
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg look like Snooki and The Situation
making out in a hot-tub.
Of course, if you're too young to know who Julius and Ethel Rosenberg are, then R-Pattz and K-Stew are probably your romantic role models. If 'Twilight' fans are trusting enough to let a vampire nuzzle their necks, they're hardly going to suspect a studio of being so cynical as to
fake a relationship between its stars in order to sell movie tickets. But let's take a closer look at that relationship, shall we?
(And kids -- don't forget to ask a grown-up's permission before leaving an angry comment on this story!)
Even if we believe this toothsome twosome is really a couple -- and we don't, necessarily -- then there was at least some overlap with Kristen's previous beau, Michael Angarano. She was with Angarano on-set while filming 'New Moon,' when she
explicitly denied a relationship with Pattinson. ("Rob and I are good friends," she told Nylon magazine, but then couldn't resist the characteristically self-pitying: "It's only natural that we sort of lean on each other, because we're put in the most f***ing psychotic situations.")
Since that flat-out denial, there has been no official update from either of the pair. They were
photographed by a small-town blogger on vacation together in Britain in January, and may or may not have
"confessed" to Oprah that they're a couple -- off camera, of course.
And in March, Kristen attended the
New York premiere of Rob's film 'Remember Me,' which she is not in, although they were not side-by-side. (Pattinson spent the night glued to his co-star, Emilie de Ravin, maybe to make up for the fact that he's so beautiful the film's producers figured they only needed to use one of her eyes and some teeth on the
movie poster.)
Perhaps the media wouldn't be so suspicious of the real relationship between Rob and Kristen if there wasn't such a massive financial incentive for them to lead us along. All this speculation that the fictional Edward Cullen and Bella Swan are in lurve in real life is a bonanza for the 'Twilight' franchise -- whose first two films have
grossed more than $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.
Fake relationships have become such a common marketing tool in film and television that we even dubbed it
"the Aniston effect" earlier this year when three different 'Dancing With The Stars' couples tried to get us to believe that their chemistry was off-screen as well as on. And if Rob and Kristen really are just following the studio's orders to generate heat for their films, at least it would explain why they're so sour all the time.
Perhaps what is so galling about the pair's miserable attitude is that neither brings as much to their roles as the roles have brought to them. They are journeyman actors playing parts that require no range: Any two out of two million other good-looking drama school grads could do the same jobs just as well.
Yet by being cast, Pattinson and Stewart have not only become cultural icons -- they're also guaranteed a lifetime income which will make them spectacularly wealthy. You'd think that, at least, might be enough for one of them to crack a smile.

Careful, writer Ben, your own jealousy is showing....

Pattinson is gay. His boyfriend is an English actor.
He's the one who's seen hanging on to his BF all the time.
He is a terrible actor. I'm tired of Twihards.

THANK YOU! Someone has finally said it! I also think that this is for publicity. Lets only hope at least. They make a terrible couple.

I can't believe how rude and nasty posters get over celebrities. What's with all the hate? You don't know these poeple, you base you opinions on sound bites, paparazzi photographs and characters in FICTION! We can make you look bad, gay or anything else we want using the same devices. Lets get some perspective here. If you like them great show your support by seeing their films, and wish them well wither they're in a "real" relationship or not. If you don't ... why are you following articles about them ... because you're miserable and have to hate on something to feel better. Please. Go out and get a life instead that will make you really feel better

There's no way of knowing anything for sure because they both refuse to confirm or deny anything anymore. I don't know where you've been but Rob is constantly laughing and smiling. Kristen is another story. She's had a hard time adjusting to all of the attention but she's getting better. She does smile more. I really wish people would tell the whole truth and not give them a hard time.

Read "Hollywood Interrupted". Almost every movie star is a narcissist. That's why they act like jerks. Narcissists ARE jerks.

You're right. Rob is GAY. He is RUDE to Emma, who he said "have no taste" just because she picked team Jacob. He just met Emma only 10 mins and he already insulted her. He is so self-centered if things doesn't go his way, he will find his way to fight dirty. He is such a low person.

someone tell this no talent jealous hack that he is going to be visited by real vampires and wish the cullens were around to save him

He is gay. I think his relationship with Kristen is just a cover up to make fans think he is straight. His every word and move tells me and shows me he is GAY! So many Twilight fans are going to be so heartbroken.
Tom Sturridge is Pattinson's boyfriend.

I think this "romance" has been generated by the studio. Neither star will admit or deny a relationaship. Whatever their situation, I think the Twilight Saga will survive. Does anyone REALLY care if they are dating?

Hmmm... "journeyman actors playing parts that require no range". I disagree with that. I am an grandma who read the books and saw the movies as part of "bonding" with the kid. The books had everything necessary to guarantee success for the romantic franchise. However, Kristen Stewart's mulit-dimensional protrayal of the bumbling Bella took the movies to a higher plane than I had imagined they would reach. Of couse, the boys' abs are a nice plus.

EEEWWWWWW!!! I just barfed in my mouth a little.
Neither of them can act worth a lick and she's the ugliest beard ever.

perhaps the over burdened, could give away their money and make every one happy.

This article doesn't make any sense at all and uses old sources to back up its theories. And, maybe you didn't notice, but they're smiling in the pictures you used for your article. Wow, you sure convinced me. I don't care whether they're dating or not, but honestly all you're doing is attacking them for no reason. Neither one of them is miserable, Robert is constantly smiling and laughing in interviews. In fact, you didn't really say anything about Robert in your article, just accused Kristen of being miserable with one quote.

i don't care if there dating he a pretty boy and she ok .i think it get old real fast in all the picture they both look bored ,i wish i had half of there money there making off these movie.

Thank you so much for writing this article! I'm glad someone is on to them.

If you don't like them or their movie franchise, don't go and see their movies. To everyone who keeps saying they are gay, do you personally know this to be a fact or does this go back to the first, you just don't like them! Also, why do you read articles about people you hate! I do think they are a real couple. I think they are getting better and better with interviews and promoting their movies. Also, I think the person who wrote this article is not a fan of their.

Yeah... that is what I thought. I think the author is trying to be brainy and the experience is alien to him. A bit of a posuer.
