Mena Suvari, Simone Sestito Tie the Knot in Italy

'American Beauty' star Mena Suvari is officially off the market.

The actress and her fiance, Simone Sestito, wed at a private church in Vatican City, Italy, PEOPLE reports.

"The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking. They are very much in love," a guest said.

The 31-year-old Suvari and 25-year-old Sestito, a concert producer, got engaged in 2008. The pair met at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007.

Wow, you must be REALLY old if you think 31 is too young to get married. What are you 45? 50? 31 is about average these days, and possibly a little later than average to be honest. All I can say is hey, someone got married, how sweet is that????!!!!

Sorry to be pedantic, but Vatican City is an independent city state, with its own government. Yes, OK, it’s surrounded on all sides by Italy. But it is not part of, or in, Italy. These things are important for us little Europeans. Otherwise we’ll start saying Alaska - Canada.

They either married in Italy or they married in the Vatican. The two are not the same, have different laws, constitutions, heads of state and regulations. The Vatican IS NOT part of Italy. It happens to be situated within the city of Rome, but is entirely separate.
