At Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball last Thursday in New York City, Lady Gaga graced the crowd with a brand new, rock-tinged piano ballad titled 'You and I.'"This song is very, very dear to my heart, and I just wrote it," Gaga said in her introduction. "It's a bit of a rock 'n' roll tune, which means it will most likely never get used as one of my singles."
The scantily clad singer gave a beyond-energetic performance, jumping up on the piano bench and pumping her fist, absolutely nailing the tune that "no one's ever heard before ... ever." See the video after the jump!

That's a nice dress Lady GaGa's wearing, but
that humoungous hat has got to go. She's trying too
hard to be Madonna, but there can only be one of
the material girl, and there's only one Lady GaGa.
Between the 2 of these artists, I prefer Madonna.
Something has to be done, so that she doesn't push
herself too far over the edge, as far as fashion.
I never said this about Britney Spears, but that's
because I had a big crush on her in 1998. As for
Lady GaGa, let's just say I could be a bigger fan.
However, I'm not sure where her career is headed,
if she keeps on breaking dress codes like this.

Why do we have to wade through all the B.S.to get to see it...She popular, Elizabeth, because people like you buy into crap like that...when are people going to realize the difference between substance and some made up persona that has been done thousands of times before...not to mention that anyone with the gall to act outrageous could do that...shes no lady, shes a joke and she knows it...

It's nice to see her playing real music, something we all know she's quite capable of as a singer and songwriter. I'd hope at some point, now that she's got everyones attention through gimmicks and showmanship, that she'll start releasing more stuff like this...real songs played by real people..not the synthetic Brave New World soma music she's known for.

Yo, I was stunned. This chic isn't a studio astist with enhanced voice. She did this live and I liked it. It shows that she has range and honest skills. Sure, she's a little crazy but who isn't surviving in this age of econical and environmental issues.
Gaga knows that when people say bad stuff about you you're a star. Its when they stop insulting you that you're not.

Kinda sounds like she turned a page from Bob Seger. Im not a big fan of her usual genre, (pop music) but she is a talented artist.

Naturally the writer of this poorly done article doesn't know that Lady Ga Ga has tried to imitate Jerry Lee Lewis, in her piano playing and bench knocking over or shoved back antics.
This time, by jumping on the piano stool she copied Little Richard.
She's been doing this all along, but writers such as this article writer don't understand that's more than 2 years old.
Ga Ga can't play the piano like those listed. She's not much of a piano player, but it allows her to get those attention grabbing moments.
At least it's not Mariah Carey or Chritina trying to pretend their "high notes" are unusual, which they are not at all.
For NOT being Beyonce or that "beat me, please" Rhinanna, Lady Ga Ga deserves credit.
(By the way, Rhinanna set a fine example for young girls by NOT doing something about her abuse RIGHT AWAY. A role model? Never. Unless she's a role model for abuse and stupidity).
