It's been a wild year for Chiddy Bang, the producer/emcee duo consisting of Philly natives Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege and Noah Beresin, AKA Xaphoon Jones. Since meeting as undergrad students at Drexel University, the two have received serious buzz for their forward-looking hip-hop sound. Earlier this year, after releasing a pair of successful mixtapes, they landed their first major label deal. What sets Chiddy Bang apart from the rest of the hip-hop world is their knack for creative sampling -- they made waves on both hip-hop and indie blogs when their track 'Opposite of Adults' hit the web, featuring a chopped-up sample of MGMT's 'Kids.'

During a recent visit to PopEater's New York offices, Chiddy Bang showcased their talents to our staff, freestyling on the spot over beats that sampled indie darlings Grizzly Bear and '80s hitmakers Hall and Oates. "It's funny because I make 'em, but he really picks 'em," producer Beresin told PopEater. "I'll just let Chiddy hear little bits and it's really him who picks the samples ... the songs speak to him."
